Agree, there’s so much padding on the TT that even driving very conservative you will actually still arrive early closer to ontime

 

It seems to me a lot of what he was pointing out comes down to a lack of snagging and final polish, maybe this should not have been pushed out ahead of the financial year end. And the other frustration for me and I suspect others, is that we see DTG kowtowing to MTA as regards the safety systems, but we are still no closer to getting what we really want at this stage in the NY area - one or more of the Subway routes.

 

We are never getting a NYC subway route EVER I’m telling you this as someone who’s in NYC it’s never happening idk why people keep asking and it’s not kowtowing if the MTA says safety systems must be on

 

Just ran several services with the SD40-2 and several issues noted. I am on pc via Steam. This was noted on Q431 part 1 & 2.
1. You do not seem to be able to get a platinum score. I think this is due to safety system score, it is looking for the PTC/ACES to be on, but this loco does not have them. I did have the safety system breaker closed and the alerter was working.
2. When shoving a cut of cars and you are playing conductor and riding that last car, the alerter alarm is not audible from the rear of the train and also the HuD does not update. You have to keep moving from rear to cab to get it to update things like distance to next marker.

 

I dont think you can get platinum in some due to you not doing enough earn the them.

 

If you are doing everything that the service calls for and do not get the platinum, either the scores are set too high or, it's as I noted above, the safety system score.

 

I think the scoring is set way to high on some off the jobs.

 

Stamford so selecting Playable service 1508 and you see on the map at Greenwich station , AI service 1506 pulls in behind Ai train 1306 which is already at the station at Greenwich and tries to unload but can't since is not in the platform and is not able to complete the unload,this becoming stuck . this has been reported by many

 

This route has performance issues. And, interestingly, lowering the settings doesn't help at all.
Ultra settings (except clouds) - 47 fps
Low settings - 49 fps
On any other route, reducing the quality of shadows and the amount of vegetation gives a great boost. Here nothing. Something is killing FPS, and this something is what graphics settings don't affect.
Also FPS is high in some areas, which means it's not the AI traffic calculations - because it would constantly reduce FPS.

 

I've noticed alot of the AI trains i stopping at stations with only 1 or 2 carriages on the platform.

 

What do "SR" signs mean?

 

Speed Reduction. Usually you will see a sign preceeding this saying what the new speed will be. SR is the location where the new speed begins.

 

Weird bug. M3A doesn't have a joint sounds on this route. I checked on the Harlem Line and the joint sounds are presents - the bug is with Stamford route, not with M3A.

 

Job 1386 and 1384 stamford yard move start job after 10 -15 seconds just derails. Xbox series x

The wild one for me is crossing the hell gate bridge heading northward. As I reach the water treatment plant, looking to the left, towards manhattan, gives me around 90fps, looking to the right across the east river gives me 20. (RTX 4090)

 

PC Steam:

I was running Acela service 2168 and noticed at approx.17:45 that Service 1575 appears to be stuck going into Greenwich station from Stamford direction, holding up 1375, 1577 and 1477.

 

Camera collision issue in Stamford. Train 1503. After starting the service press '2' two times and you will find yourself inside a coach.

 

For me the wildest place is New Rochelle when you run towards NY. As I approach the station, the FPS gets lower and lower and lower, and then suddenly jumps up to 80 and stays high. IDK, maybe some LOD issue.

 

yup this is a know issue that has already been logged. also affect when selecting ACS64 137 "
stamford- playing service acs64 137 causes AI service 1575 to spawn in at Greenwich but can't open doors
repo steps, star game and select playable service ACS 64 137, go to 2d map, observe AI train 1575 at the beginning of the station. fast travel to Greenwich station. head over to the cab on service 1575 and you can hear the AI trying to open the doors. but it can't because it's set up to only open

 

Why is the SD40-2 limited to 25mph on the main line.

 

also, I have tried even spawning in 5 and ten minutes earlier and still AI service 1575 gets stuck there since it always pulled behind, probably going to need a special hold instruction toa void this as it seems to be happening on any services at Greenwich
