Posted this idea on the Facebook a while ago. So thought Id throw it here too. Another Cardiff Network type route. Would include 165 and HST with layers from other GWR stock. Decent amount of different gameplay options. In real life on this route the services would run as follows: Passenger: Patchway - Bristol Temple Meads (BTM) Bristol Parkway - BTM (GWR/XC) BTM - Severn Beach ECS: Stoke Gidford - BPW ECS St Phillips Marsh - BTM/BPW ECS Freight: BPW - Avonmouth Docks BPW/ Patchway - Portbury Docks BTM - Portbury Docks Disscuss )
Good suggestion. The Severn Beach line alone gets a LAMPOIL from me, very scenic down the Avon Gorge section then out along the marsh flats to Severn Beach - the settlement which epitomises the cliche, “Heard of sod all, but never thought I’d see it.” However I would be tempted to set it back a few years, maybe the late 00’s, when the Avonmouth Bulk Handling Terminal still despatched several MGR trains a day to Didcot Power Station.
