So, DTG have announced two new British routes. Both seem to be AC electric routes, Rivet's being set after 2011, and DTG's being set between 1991 and 2010. The last AC route we had was Cathcart Circle, so this is a very welcome sign. Hopefully Rivet will do another IOW and make the best route so far. There aren't many AC routes down south, so likely the route will be on the ECML, the WCML or the North. Hoping for somewhere in Merseyside, like Chat Moss or the Liverpool-Wigan line. For DTG, its possibly the Cross-City line, that was one fo their most recent AC routes, so it makes sense. Maybe we'll get some more modern stock like a 331 for Rivet and a 323 or a 319 for DTG. Alan Thomson being on board leaves me with much hope. We could finally get the Chat Moss route in game. So, what are we thinking? Do you have any speculations?
Personally I want too see the 319. Both because it is a Dual Voltage Mutiple unit the routes they can potentially run on. It could be WCML, but set in 2010. But then again it could be a London Overground/Silverlink route(Which could set the Bakerloo Line from 1991-2010 but with the 313 i guess), but it could be anythin
Yeah, it's badly formatted so I made the same mistake, but on close inspection it is the German route set pre 2010
I was thinking of an east coast extension to ore / hastings. The new route from rivet might be west highland lane. Probably something entire new will come from just trains.
I got no problem with the South but agree they should move away from London and show the rest of the country. I'm not Welsh but I think they should be in the game as well as N. Ireland. If they do another English route then Didcot- Birmingham would be a good busy route featuring Oxford. Or something further North like Newcastle - Carlisle, DTG have lots of choices but it seems the last people they will take any advice from is us. Knowing my luck we will get another route featuring 'Chatham'
