    Hi guys
    Which route that you think will come to Train Sim World 2 because on 5th April in the Roadmap there was announced a new German Route?

    I hope Schnellfahrstrecke Stuttgart Mannheim.
    And you? Write it in the comments please!

    It's just speculation, but let's think about it. We know that it's not a "Spirit of Steam" route, so no BR52 yet. A non-electrified route would be nice, more diesel trains please, like the BR612 in DCZ. The BR232 is already in production by TSG. We've got the 363 and the 204, so important diesel classics that are still missing are the BR218 or the BR294. A BR642 Desiro would also be nice. This time probably another region than Saxony. May be back to Hamburg Hbf, but in another direction (less modeling work for the team), but let us surprise... ;)

    Well, Maik Goltz recently confirmed again that he’ll do the 218 as a TSG product some time after the 232, so it’s unlikely to be part of the next route. While 294 can be seen all around Germany, Matt said some time ago that there’s probably enough German diesel shunters around for the time being, which leads me to classify the inclusion of the 294 as unlikely as well.

    Personally, I hope we’ll finally see something vintage (even if it’s “just” the early 2000s or 90s) or at least more completely new rolling stock and not even more DoStos and 185s.

    My ideal would be another Cologne-based route, either to Oberhausen or Koblenz. Presumably it'll be 1x brand new stock, 1x adapted existing stock, plus 1x unchanged existing (probably Dostos). Ideally the new rolling stock will be one that opens up new types of service, i.e. one of

    * A different generation of ICE (1/2/T/4/407)
    * A different set of regional carriages (n-Wagen or x-Wagen or even older Dostos)
    * A different set of long distance carriages (IR, which could add the cab car or bistro) or the Metropolitan
    * A mainline diesel loco (218 or 245)
    * A local DMU (620/628/642/etc)
    * Another passenger loco (103/110/111/120 - depending on coaches provided)
    * The 4010 IC2 EMU

    The adapted stock could be:

    * Intercity 2
    * A livery variant of the ICE3 or 3M
    * The 420 in a different livery or region
    * The IC coaches in an older livery (pink!)
    * The 612 in a different livery (Bwegt or IC)
    * The 143 or 112 in an older livery
    * The SBB 523 as a DB 427

    ...well good news that the BR218 will be done by TSG too! Of course I also like the 90ies era, at least in Creator's Club we can share liveries from that time period, which are very popular by the way. My tip stays with nowadays DLC, using well-known train stations again. We've already seen Brighton or Dresden twice, so my guess was Hamburg again. ;)

    Yeah, you got me. My post was more a wish rather than a realistic guess. The setting being contemporary is probably a given. As you pointed out, Hamburg may well make a return. I could also imagine something along the Rhine purely based on demand.

    You can get an International route out of Oberhausen by making it run towards the Netherlands via Emmerich Am Rhein to Utrecht via Arnhem and Zevenaar. Then link that to HRR at Duisburg Hbf & Oberhausen by building the S3 Mulheim an Der Ruhr Styrum to Oberhausen section. Own Hollandstrecke Duisburg Oberhausen Arnhem Utrecht with HRR you get a busy HRR with Freight trains towards the Netherlands at Bochum Eherenfeld DB BR189 C-Akv coupler Falnqqs 130 Faals Falrrs Iron Ore Wagon and new Zagkks lpg wagon Ibhpps Reefers

    That would be great but probably beyond the scope of what they've said in the roadmap. Running to Cologne instead links it to two routes and provides a huge number of potential services (I'd like to see the Dusseldorf Airport and Bergisch Gladbach branches)

    Extend this to Basel and they could include the SBB 523 as a layer. But I don't think that's likely just yet.

    You mean TS 22 Freiburg-Basel remade for TSW 2. Here is TrainSim-Matt stream of Freiburg-Basel in TS 22 version.

    Sadly Matt went through a Geschwindigkeitsprüfabschnitt (GPA 2000hz Beeinflussung) because of him doing 150 kmh in a 100 kmh speed zone

    Would require new Dostos; the existing 3rd-gens aren't right for the IC2.

    Whatever the route turns out to be, I hope it hits the 3 digits lengthwise (in km that is :))

    Meanwhile I also think that we could count on the Höllentalbahn and Dreiseenbahn

    Been hoping to either see some ICE 1 or ICE 2 on an older setting route or modern route that includes Berlin

    but I also suspect there’s a chance that it could be a German steam route should it come out after Liverpool crewe

    German routes and trains are of great variety!
    Hopes a new important "HBF" be on one of the route side, around 70 kms - or more! - lenght, and new trains.
    Hopes they includes new full double deck EMUs like the Twindexx, a new ICE, new electric locomotive - Siemens Vectron (for both passenger and freight services! MRCE, Railpool or other private company ) with some new freight cars (grain ones and other types), and of course the classic Dostos - may be on some different DB scheme (like the ones for Dresden - Riesa route).
    Also with the BR187 for passenger service too.

    You mean something like Dortmund Hbf which can link HRR RRO RSN via Hagen Vorhalle. Twindexx runs IC34 & IC55 routes.

    I would like any of those ones!
    Only thing could be complicated is they are longer trains.
    May be an ICE T or ICE 4 (There are some ones with just 8 cars)
    ICE T will be a new implementation of tilting train after the 612... but in this case will be electric.
    So they have to check about the panto graph contact with the above wires. May be this could be an issue.

    Yes you are right!
    I was looking for that number, but I could not find it yesterday.
    Even some pictures of 187 with passenger wagons appeared!
