Got the news today. Never played these euro lines. Just the British and American. Are they any good?

Glad to see a new German route coming. I like the German routes. Just a bit dissapointed as I was hoping for a longer, high speed route with LZB and/or ICE trains.

Looks like it's passenger based, I like German freight better. I'm still going to get it just to support the game.

The freight scenarios are excellent, never tried passenger services.

If you have MSB, you get plenty of freight services too.

Thanks for calling everyone's attention to an announcement that I, for one, had missed. However, that announcement makes no mention of freight; if this proves to be true, I'll treat it as I have the Long Island DLC: no freight, no purchase.
    {Factor41: what makes you think that owning MSB will add freight activities to this new route?}

Right at the end of the article it says...
On MSB I believe the 146 is exclusively used for passenger services, whilst the 185 is used for freight. Also, I get that customer satisfaction isn't high on DTG's list of priorities, but I think DB would be against using the freight cars for passenger services. :D

Edit to add: Also, (as I mentioned in more detail on the Baseless Speculation thread) there's a huge amount of freight activity in that area - there's (circled left-to-right on image) a big port at Duisburg (with a new container crane), an industrial yard with steel manufacturers near Mulheim, and ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG based in Bochum. I'd be very surprised if they put this route out without any freight activities, and fully expect intermodal, steel and the long-awaited diesel shunter to all show their faces (eventually).

If there is to be freight on this route, I sincerely hope that the 155 will work properly, because otherwise synthetic.angel might not survive :)

    RSN has great scenarios.
MSB is the busiest route in TSW in terms of train variety.
    RRO is solid.
Learn SIFA, PZB and theses routes are the most engaging I would say.

These are my current usage stats - fairly telling, I think. RRO and PC are my most recent acquisitions so would naturally be lower figures, relatively. The ones with silly peaks are probably where I've been trying to get a Trophy!

Having the 155 work correctly might certainly help boost its play time for me. As it is, I've barely touched it, so that and RSN are currently my "worst value" DLC purchases. Very glad I didn't pay full price!

What's that...what's that... did I hear someone say "155".....? Ooooh.... yes.... Hello...! ;-D

If DTG do not advertise the 155 as requiring this new HRR route and claim that they have been specifically designed to work together, then it doesn't matter much to me if they don't care if the 155 is untested and completely broken on the HRR route.... I was mostly concerned by the failure of the DB BR 155 to work on RSN on PS4, because the PlayStation Store indicates that the loco only works properly with the RSN route - a route which has tunnels. When the truth is the opposite.....

I just want them to check what they write is true, if they really can't be bothered to check that things actually work. It's perfectly fine for me to see an advert that says "We haven't checked to see if it works - you are buying the item unseen and untested."

I have just bought*** three ICE trains (unseen and untested), as follows:

    DB ICE 1 EMU - £0.74
    DB ICE 2 - £1.79
    DB ICE 3 - £0.89

And two of them are Free Drive units, and I intend to task them with some services between Glasgow and Edinburgh, just to see how quickly the seats get trashed with...um.... orange juice. Then I will send them to Frankfurt, to see if they still work.

    I might be becoming a TS2020 convert.... ;-)

***NB: These prices are not a joke. And I have, actually bought them. About an hour ago.... LOL. ;-D

I didn't, I've put the info from the player profile page into a spreadsheet, but I have suggested Improved Progress Stats here so give that thread a like and maybe they'll take note! :)

"Plenty of freight services," yes in terms of numbers, but the few that are not simple, repetitive long runs varying only by time of day or night involve something even more elementary: driving an auxiliary engine a few kilometers and coupling it to the end of a long freight (which you can drive in the following session. Since the 10% discount only saves a few bucks, I may well be skipping this 100% passenger route (okay, 66% for those like myself already own MSB).
