Wouldn't a German/Austrian route like Rosenheim to Innsbruck or Rosenheim to Salzburg be a good way of getting another country into TSW? OBB 1016/1116 and a 4744 could work alongside DB locos. Aren't signalling and safety systems virtually the same? I'd love to see Austria in TSW.

Indeed, yes! I think i even made a suggestion of that route a few weeks ago. But this really doesn't have that much to do with the thread, as we know that it's a german route :D

Only that the greater part of Rosenheim to Salzburg is in Germany but there would be the opportunity to introduce Austrian motive power to TSW.

You forgot ÖBB 1293 and Taurus 1216. On Hauptstrecke Rosenheim Innsbruck 1216 carries the Nightjet Innsbruck to Amsterdam via Duisburg and selected days Innsbruck to Brussels Midi via Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen.
During the Late nights you will find ÖBB 1016 1116 and 1216 run Nightjet trips. On Main Spessart Bahn it's either 02:01 or 01:51 Aschaffenburg Hbf to Würzburg via Lohr connector line trips. Since the Nightjet is due at 02:41 at Würzburg. München route those run 06:30 Augsburg to München Hbf 07:30 trips. Latest one is EN468/469 to Paris Est has to be playable from Augsburg Hbf to München Pasing.

A part of the Frankfurt-Strasbourg run would be possible, given that DTG already have French assets and safety systems done.

But then they wouldn't call it a german route, only. But yeah, i see something between Frankfurt and Straßbourg in the future of TSW.

Actually do get your point. Will a 200 km 125 mi route Duisburg Amsterdam via Railway work. That way there are Dutch NS ICM Double Decker DD AR Amsterdam Arnhem. DB BR406 407 408 Amsterdam to Duisburg Hbf NS BR 193 EN 402 403 420 421

628s are the standard DB DMU, built since the 80s. There are about 500 of them, and they run - or have run - pretty much everywhere, which means they are a useful DLC for most existing routes.

What this also means it that it's hard to predict which route it might be. A scenic one presumably - maybe the Finnentrop - Olpe lines, or the Mungsteiner route from Wuppertal to Solingen, or something in the Eifel-Mosel region. But who knows.

Wurzberg to Kassel would be a great route, couldn't get enough of it in Zusi 3. Will need a mainline diesel loco though tbh

I don't know who this klimi is and how reliable his info is, but he's talking about a third party route, so that says nothing about the German route DTG has in planning.

    Something doesn't add up.
If he's a DTG employee, and he's making the route as he says, then how can it be a third party route as he says? Does he have two jobs?

The roadmap has the new German route categorized under "DTG Releases", so either Lukas is talking about another German route, or he's not using the term "third party" correctly.

I'm also a tad surprised that Lukas, as a DTG employee apparently, is allowed to share this kind of information. I had assumed revealing this information would happen through official channels. At least, for DTG releases.

"We are joined by Joe and Michael who are associate designers for the Gameplay team at Dovetail. And Lukas Klimczyk who has been working with Dovetail to help with the signals and track laying for Rush Hour."

"Lukas: I am contracted at Dovetail to lay track and add the signals for Rush Hour. I have worked with Dovetail in the past on Train Simulator, and that’s how this opportunity came my way."

Ok, I consider my skills at the English language pretty decent for a foreigner, but this is where I'm not certain. Does this means he is an DTG employee, or contracted as a third party developer (or second party?)?

Also, that was the situation back then. Could've changed by now.

Trying to figure out if the route Lukas is talking about is the same route DTG has on its roadmap.

He clearly says it's a third party route and he's making it. That pretty much rules out a DTG release, and also gives me the feeling he's a third party developer rather than a DTG employee.

It doesn't matter where it is in Germany, what matters is that I know it's a 40 mile route and DTG takes years! Again, mileage is 40 miles to measure length.

Don't be silly. Germans don't use miles to measure length. They have more sensible units to do that.

I would still like something rural. Either the east end of the Obereruhrtalbahn, Bestwig etc as featured in Zusi 2 or, also from the same game, something around Altenbeken. Would fit in with the diesel traction hints.

The first rounds ends at Warburg (Westfalen) and it's a DB BR633 Pesa Link DMU. Own Obereruhrtalbahn DB BR633 is seen as AI in Hagen Hbf RRO RSN.

BR365: an interesting take; the 365 only differs from the 363 in having the original Maybach engine, not the replacement Caterpillar. Any changes would be very subtle indeed.

Yes, although it was an RB until Abellio took it over. I doubt a merger is on the cards, but there would be overlap.

Got it then and if that were the case RB47 Abellio S7 will simply follow RB48s S8s to Wuppertal Oberbarmen then branch off to Solingen. RB47s will fill the gap of missing S8s between Wuppertal Hbf and Wuppertal Oberbarmen. If both were merged

What do we know? Well, the route will be set in Germany. Therefore, it is a safe bet to say the route may be set on the German rail network at some point in the past 300 years.

That's the only plan. What we build is a Munich specific version. And no, it's not near to release yet.

The 3rd party route mentioned above is diesel. We don't know about the DTG German route is and Im sorry very much doubt that they are the same as there's no way on earth DTG would allow for details to be leaked in the manner above. Had it been an anonymous source quoted perhaps but a leak by a named person, hardly likely as I'm sure DTG get their contractors to sign NDAs.

I would like to see a non-electrified railway line in saxony-anhalt or brandenburg in 1980s with steam und diesel engines. Br 50.35 and Br 118

Actually, it should be fairly easy... there'd be no track to lay, no bridges or stations to build, just a path through some scenery...
There was a very good cartoon that covers this, created around the time of the planning of the eurotunnel route, but sadly I can't find it...

My prediction: It will have Dostos, the 143 and the 442 as rolling stock.

EDIT: Oh is see others have already made this joke, sorry.

My bet would be Köln - Düsseldorf:
    - They can re-use the Köln Hbf (like they did with Dresden)
    - They could introduce a new train by porting the Rivet Games FLIRT, maybe even adding an official RRX livery.
    - They could use S-Bahn as well as ICE Services and make layers for the IC (101) and Freight.
    - The length fits well within DTGs standards

Personally, I think the Dostos are in my top three of rolling stock, and I really like them! The problem is, that we never get new versions of them. I would love to see older ones, and especially high entry Dostos! They are way cooler in my opinion :D
In general: As long as we get a few new locos, I love to see the old rolling stock :)

Even Better Köln Duisburg via Düsseldorf that way RE1s can go Bochum Hbf all the way to Aachen Hbf. Provided DTG Merges HRR SKA with Köln Duisburg Railway via Düsseldorf Hbf. Unique feature of Düsseldorf Hbf is that Platforms 19-20 have a loading dock for Laaers 560 Hccrrs Ddm 915s freight Sekqrs waggons for Motorail trains. Some cases Laaers 560s Ddm915s are behind the locomotive Front Pantograph is used.

Which version of IC2 146.5 or the 147. Both are used with IC2 dostos.
