Until we get a LU District Line route and stock, we will not see any AI at Ealing Broadway. The same applies to accurate Central Line AI traffic.
The only frieght trains on this route are 66s and 59s with the 60 like you said. As Matt said all 58s have either been through the cutters torch or preserved or stored.
Changeover is near Thatcham for non stop 80x - stoppers change in the platform. The reason they don't change instantly is because of the complicated trackwork/OLHE increases the risk of a dewirement, once clear of Newbury Racecourse and it's junctions they'll start the changeover London bound, and similar area Westbound
Yes but even as recently as the introduction of the 800s to GWR changeover was at Reading for services going down via Newbury and Exeter.
Yep this route definitely gets a thumbs up from me!! I am a big fan of GWML, and I really like the idea of the route being set in 2018, with the mix of HSTs and IETs, Networkers and Electrostars, good variety and there is only one train that needs to be modelled, which may not even be the case if the rumours are true that the ECML is coming!! I am a very big fan of the transition period from the diesels to the electrics... Although the only sad thing is that we may not be able to utilise the blue FGW trains, but that is OK. I'd like the route to go to at least Didcot Parkway and Oxford, maybe Newbury to enable more freedom, however I like the original route in TSC as that felt well-balanced IMO. Hopefully one day we will get it... However long it may be... I will wait DTG...
Perhaps upgrading this, and other older routes should be the next big project after whatever is in the pipeline right now. At least there will then still be some parity when compared to other content. After all, we did pay for them and deserve for them to be enjoyed with some of the more recent improvements and additions.
Maybe if people keep pushing for this it can happen. Like how the SEHS extension happened because despite the complications an extension in general was highly requested
I agree, especially having them updated to the new lighting (TOD 4). Would be good if they could all go through a bit of a polish/bugfix as well.
