So what you're saying is that developers can only make one type of game? Fishing sim and train sim are 2 completely different things and one doesn't affect the other.
Ummmm, hate to really bust your little paradise your living in, but, and this is probably going to send you screaming for the hills, DTG make a good load of fishing Sims too.......
His other posts seem to make it pretty clear (to me anyway) that he has fun tweaking the over-the-top negative folks by going OTT the other way.
Hate to burst bubbles here but i dont think simrail is coming to console anytime soon i did a search ask is sim rail coming to console s only thing i saw was a steam forum post that maybe cross play between pc console s.....there nothing since that sept 2023 post ...besides that wont do for me leave the PC equaison out im talking console ONLY guess we going to have accept it that TSW is going to be THEEEE only train sim in town on consoles for forseeable future ..there is noooo idictors concrete info that says another rail simulator of high quality destined for consoles DTG just needs to stay in the game and make TSW reallyyy shine on console s esp gen 9 and future succesor s ..max the game for it to use gen 9 to fullest potential most games dont even tap ps 5 or xb series x system potential and already both are unveiling plans ahead and their current systems games not use system s full capbilities

This new sim has peaked my interest, but I’d only consider buying content for this game if they made content not available in TSW. The only exception to that is, if say they released a longer version to a route on TSW. The Chatham mainline going beyond the boundaries of Faversham for example.
Definitely looks good however from the UI previews it seems like they are going for a more arcade style rather than a realistic one. While their game engine may win in graphics, it will have to prove itself against the physics of TSW. As for the routes, I believe they definitely need to target countries that are not England, America or Germany (y'know the primary ones of TSW) in order to give some new stuff. If DTG continues to release cheaply made DLCs then they definitely have a chance to go past that.
Good comparison, if that's not an incentive for SKA to get a TOD4 upgrade in TSW in the future. After all, a new timetable is already in the works. Interesting fact: all new train simulator competitors also enter the console market, because nowadays the PC has only become a part of the large gaming market and no longer has an exclusive position. If you take car simulators as an example, in the end long-standing brands that provide innovative and high-quality gameplay always prevail. That's why an NFS or Project Cars game can't keep up with a Gran Turismo or Forza. But as long as railway simulators are mostly niche products or, to put it another way, there are more car fans than train fans, it remains to be seen who can do the best job of asserting themselves on the market. There is certainly a reason why we are currently at TSW4, since sequels are always based on the experience with predecessors and suggest progress. That's why it would be interesting to see whether there will be a SimRail 2 or a Train Planet TNG (Trekkie slang) in a few years.
