    Or even better, original Silberlinge.

My guess? Stuttgart S-Bahn, before 2016. In BaWu, and gives them a place for the BR 420. Of course, they'd have to rework the train a bit, since they originally built the Munchen-specific upgraded model; but that is necessary anyway since Munchen-Augsburg has been ruled out.

Im just curious, when did a dev mention that frankfurt isnt going to be it? And also why must it be in BaWü? Niddertalbahn seems to be reffering to Ludwigsbahn.

That's mostly not in BaWü though, only Mannheim station. The rest is in Rheinland-Pfalz.

Don't know if they were there before, but I've noticed adverts for Berchtesgaden on stations in the Niddertalbahn.
The Berchtesgaden branch leaves Freilassing to the south-west on Rosenheim - Salzburg. Nowadays it is part of the Salzburg S-Bahn, but in the past, it was served by 110/111/139/140 with n-Wagen. There has pretty much always been one IC train their per day, reflecting its status as a scenic railway to a tourist destination, beloved by... well lots of people but someone we won't mention.

Would make a good route though.

Let's just move on from Frankfurt / Aschaffenburg / Bad Vilbel area and head to Baden-Württemberg. :)

The Berchtesgaden area is still spectacular; it's not nature's fault that a certain dictator appreciated it.

A lot of good suggestions here. Im just hoping it will be something that is not in the DB "Verkehrsrot" Era. I really like LFR and the Era it represents. Additional to all the superb Loco possibilities that come with that aswell. So yeah fingers crossed for something "older".

I must say I like DB "Verkehrsrot". What I do not like is to only have Dostos. That is why I like so much BRO and HBL. I got n-wagens, on top of the everything else. And they are fun to drive.

The best era is around the late 90s/early 2000s imo. A hybrid era, so you get Verhkehrsrot, Produktfarben, Dostos, n-Wagen, IR, lots of loco haulage, EuroCity services.

While I am fond of older eras, I have to agree with the enormous potential of the 90s. The sheer variety of locos from both sides of the formerly divided Germany combined with eclectic mix of liveries from all eras provides an almost unmatched potential variety.

Of course, on the flip side, that also means that you need to first develop all of that variety. As brilliant as it is, LFR does show this shortcoming by the lacking variety in liveries and, crucially, locos. More routes from the era plus layering could help here, of course.

Its not that i dislike the more current time period represented, but i like variety and i definitely have a fable for older rolling stock. LFR also delivers a really "romantic" atmosphere, for me thats not just coming from the Rhine Valley alone. Im also probably one of the few who really like Orientrot as a color scheme. :D

For me its completely different, im not a fan of older locos like the 110 or 103, im not talking about the look as this is a thing i like about them. In Tsw the more or less only "older" electric loco i really like is the 111.
I would wish for something modern like some stadler flirts, desiro hc, Twindexx and i would find a Mireo interesting too.
I dont know how others feel about that, but if my home route gets released as set in 1990 for example and completely differs from today, i would be very dissapointed. The other way around if a route looks exactly the same since 30 years, i dont have a problem with it being set before 2000.

You're not alone. I can think of some loco that really wore orient red well.

I love the Orientrot livery on the coaches with the pink stripe.

it might be a bit slow in modern days though. I see a lot of complaints about one handle MU's. the history of that route is great though. if I recall correctly the first standard E-lok, E44 (later BR 144), was used on that gradient. I'd think for that route only, maybe add some freight movements that DTG usually forgets around the line. The route is really interesting and the era makes or breaks if it sells well.

Autoreisezug load and unload at Berchtesgaden and Bad Reichenhall, Neue Saline industry at Bad Reichenhall are currently disconnected or unused. Stahlwerk Annahutte and the trash container loading at freilassing hofham still exist and operate to this day. If this route does get considered by any developer I expect it to be before the BRB/BLB days because of licensing. So either before 2009 but after 2006 to add ÖBB S3 (hopefully then to Salzburg instead of cutting it at Freilassing). or something from 1985+ since I don't expect to see a BR 144 anytime soon.

Note: a quick google search tells me the loading areas are for military vehicles now as Autozug is no more to there.

But this historical and beautiful line is something that I'd buy any day of the week. even if it is to improve it's timetable in the editor.

It could be a route related to the long-delayed 420. From what I understand, it will be a historical one, likely set in the 90s! I have no idea what DE area this might fit into, but I hope it will also include the 218 in the turquoise/cream livery.
