I so want CPKC to happen in TSW. I even submitted an email to CPKC suggesting that they allow DTG to use them in TSW. Not that I think they care what one silly railfan sends but you never know. But I do think it would be a cool historical moment happening now to capture in our sim.

Roadmap is pushed back till the 12th due to the event, and we only get peeks at the new routes if the community hits the Mastery Rewards

Cool, maybe between now and then, some leaks from the SteamDB may indicate something of what we may get

I love all the comments, and I'm definitely gonna pay close attention this week and see what the December roadmap says

I wonder if the main reason we all want to see the Hudson line, is cause it would be the 1st time a Genesis loco would appear in game.

Yet this is the big attraction and unique aspect of TSW over most other games, that you can get out of your loco and walk your train performing tasks etc. If you just want to stay put and be lazy then that is not a true simulation.

Depends on if it gets added to the roadmap. There's no way to know what's being released unless it's added to the roadmap.

Because it shares trackage with Metra for the Illinois portion, it might need a license which is proving hard to get. It doesn't have enough traffic by itself.

Interestingly, it also shares trackage with Amtrak and Norfolk Southern in Indiana, which might be a good starting point for a route dlc.

Honestly, somthing from the southeast would be cool, like FEC and brightline, or maybe even the CSX A-Line, would be cool and appropriate since a line connects 2 railroads and a few different main lines.

No Siemens Charger as P32 and P42 are nearing the end of their operational life?
The P42 are still going fast on the NEC, doing 125 MpH passing by the VR Paradise, PA webcam

The dual mode Chargers and Siemens sets are not anywhere near ready to replace the P32s and ACS 64s yet.

I’m hoping for the Hudson line for metro north because we will also get a new Amtrak lines such as the empire and the lakeshore limited from penn station since portion of the routes shares the same line as metro north

I'd like to get Maria Pass with impressive BNSF ES44C, SD70 Ace and AC44 or CSX Miami with ES44AC, AC44 and SD70Ace. Nothing compares with north american freight railroad operators. They are the backbone of the northamerican economy. And their trains look and sound impressive with their V16 or V12 diesel engines mostly with AC traktion.

Im guessing the next US route prob be either northeastern or western US passenger related hopefully some freight layers ..if that the case the second US route needs to be freight focused

Random but I'd like to see a US subway route, but one that has overground and underground sections a la Bakerloo

DTG have said several times the challenges doing NYC Subway are too great, mainly lack of cooperation or access by the operator. However there are other US cities (or Toronto in Canada) that might be potential projects.

Isn't the New York subway also operated my MTA - the same guys operating L.I.R.R. and Metro North?

Anyway Chicago would also be a great option to do subways. An L train route would be amazing. Could also be a single train route that DTG loves doing soo much, considering the rolling stock variety on CTA lines is very small and they all look the same anyway, lol.

Or Boston subway, considering MBTA also seems to be a good partner, judging by Boston Sprinter.

Matt has also explained why it's not a great idea. First you model a brand new train, superliner coaches and maybe more coaches for it to run 2 services each day on each of the freight routes. Each route is $30-40 so to get 2 more, you have to spend several hundred dollars. The price to gameplay ratio is too high so dtg don't see it as a good idea

The best options would be NYC MTA subway lines because in NYC there’s both

Which you won’t get as already mentioned above. Matt has explained several times that MTA will not grant research access or permissions for the tunnel sections or (presumably) other aspects such as sourcing sound or operational information on the rolling stock.

ISTR Matt saying they got permissions for that but NYC Subway was a no go area. Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger!

Because you can see it on Google maps. You can find timetables online. They have community members who provide sound and probably a bunch of other things. That's how the m7a sounds were made. Dtg mentioned they aren't allowed to take professional photos or sound recordings of the trains because it's seen as suspicious. With mta only allowing branding, dtg can really only do routes that can be seen on Google Earth.

I can understand since the subway is mostly underground and it’s probably more of a safety risk and stuff

With 2023 being the 40th anniversary for Metro North Railroad and the MTA debuting 40th anniversary heritage wraps to a few select dual mode P32AC-DM's, I think it would be a great opportunity to feature Metro North Hudson or New Haven line as the next US route. Perhaps can be a m Christmas DLC to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Metro North. I think we will get a sneak peek of the next US route in tomorrow's roadmap

My man, we are talking about a TSW US route - of course it will be a letdown. Despite that, I am still looking forward to seeing what it will be. Quite disappointed that there has been no announcement for it.

I suspect there was a "penalty" for not reaching the scenario challenge target, after all. We will find out in due course.

Of course there are ridiculous excuses from DTG..I mean they never cared much of US content as I said time and time again...Look at all the glory they put always in the UK content?lol..they don't care bout the US....And since we couldn't have at least Arrow IIIs in the NY-T, how come West Sommerset Railway is getting so many additional layers for their updated timetable and they are WAY older than the NY-T dlc....BIASED..I don't want to hear that memory issue GARBAGE of an excuse anymore.

Yeah. Same thing when they say they don't want to make long distance Amtrak passenger trains for the US routes like Cajon Pass, because it runs infrequently and you barely get any playtime out of it. Yet they make RHTT pack for SEHS that only runs like 10 services a day only in fall season?

I am really happy that UK content is getting the love it gets, because it's great. But why can't other countries get the same love and care as well? SEHS gets extended and improved. WSR gets improved and some branch extension. MML gets improved (though it is not a DTG route).

When will for example LIRR get a new timetable? Or Sherman Hill the third track and some improved scenery? When will any of the US routes get some special maintanance services similar to the RHTT or the Class 37/7 - LIRR MP15 and laser train for example?

The best we have seen so are the updated signalling for Boston Sprinter, but despite that, not much that I can remember. I wouldn't count the new New York - Trenton timetable as that is something that should have been there from the beginning.

It also, since 9/11, has been labeled a potential security risk and outsiders are not permitted inside.

NY-T should've had a small portion of the North Jersey Coast Line branch added as far as South Amboy(even if it doesn't go full Long Branch), that wouldve added variety...LIRR as I always say was the worse attempt ever...No research, excused of what the timetable should've been, and then only to HICKSVILLE???a boring shuttle wrong for the Port Washington side which should've been included...Last but not least no Diesel and double decker services because dovefail said there wasn't enough info of the diesel fleet smfh....I knew there wasn't going to be any US teaser because they don't care about the US players lol. Straight BIASED and full of excuses...

So, according to Brandon (CactusJuice) on the TSC discord, there was a reason the route wasn't teased today
