Honestly whichever clown in management who pushed for this particular wording change because it was something covered in their thirty year old marketing degree needs their head examined. It's really not something that flies with a modern consumer base, as it reeks of insincerity and condescension. Frankly, someone younger and more in touch ought to have pushed back. Maybe they did. But here we are either way.
Changing the termination to Standard when the truth is that it's reduced is deceiving. What part of that do you DTG defenders not understand?
Maybe it's you and the pitchfork brigade that don't understand that this isn't a hill worth camping and dying on. Yes it's a bummer that console peeps have got less services, I wish I had all the missing stuff, but that's just life, we don't always get everything we want and life is very unfair. Then we wake up the next morning and get on with our lives, while the people camping on their molehills that they think are unclimbable deadly mountains are left behind and forgotten about as we play the next piece of content made for the game......
Yes, just like you’ve got on with your life ignoring the people who are dying on a molehill. Just saying.
Yep I'm definitely ignoring them and going to sleep to the music of their wails of anguish and torture, and when I wake up I'll fire up the game on my xbone series X and drive the route thinking to myself, well this is better than being camped on a molehill ain't it.......
You are always keen to tell everyone how happy you are but you spend a lot of time barbing those who arnt? Surely its not a hill to die on? If everything is as wonderful as you say then why be here?
And your keen to tell people who are happy with the game why they should be dissappointed all the time. We get it.. we got it 20 posts ago. You are not happy with the optimization or DTG's business practices. But do you have a solution or an idea on why this is happening? Or just want to depress everybody because if your not happy no one should be.
Oh and another thing the dlc in question was only released earlier this week so it’s only been out for a few days. It’s not like this is months in the making. But it’s on top of other issues and controversies that has plagued the release of tsw5. [Deleted; insulting - DTG Harry]
It’s because of people like you and the other guy why we don’t see too much optimisation for this game, if you people keep saying the game is good and fine we will never get any good fixes and this is going to a Constant problem (Anyways writing this while tired so is probably not well written, and ps I’m not meaning yous specifically but the whole side of the community that’s saying the game is good and fine or in others we don’t need fixes)
They're happy with what they've got. Big deal, that's an opinion they are entitled to. Why and how is it their fault? (What is so wrong with people having that opinion? It's not as if they're committing some sort of crime.
Tell them that. They throw things around like “making people depressed” and other such hyperbole. It’s pathetic.
And you really show your level of matuity there guy have a nice time. Obviously you haven't read my 20 posts giving suggestions and recoomendations to fix said errors. In stead of just cpmplaining about the 3 same things like you are. Or the fact I've said how awful the optimization is and havent bought a thing since December. Or how about the fact I have been DM'ng with Matt since November in search of a fix. What have you done, oh just barked. So instead of just complaining about something try and be a solution giver. The problem is never going to fixed by just repeating youself. Just fix it you say. Just because I can stand the game and you can't tough poop. I'm over 70 and have the right to enjoy what few years I may have left. Go ahead and give me your pathetic response as always. I won't be replying as I have a life and will be gone from here. As I said it the same complaibfs from 3 years ago get over it. Look it up
Man I have never been this peeved off since I bought Liberation Captive 2 on my Amiga for the same price as the Amiga CD32 version and it didn't have the voice acting like it's CD counterpart. I equate this to a 14.7% reduction in quality for the disk version so will be writing to Mindscape to ensure that this discount is applied retrospectively. If it isn't I am going to bleat on about it despite the fact that PC's and Consoles have been getting different specs of the same games for the same price (probably) for over 30 years. Sarcasm aside i'd rather the game work at 600 services than be a buggy, FPS nightmare at 1200.
Since you mean me as the other guy let me just state for the the record I've never said the game doesn't need fixes, everything in life needs fixes, nothing is perfect. So yes the game can definitely be improved and made better, just as everything else in this world can be made better, but some people can't grasp the notion that other people might like the game knowing that it's not perfect because the level of perfection that people are demanding will never be achieved because the only way to replicate reality to the level desired is to go outside and rub yourself all over the dam train. I'm sure you would be fully immersed at that point and be happy........
All threads like this is going to do is put DTG off from pushing the game to the limits and encourage them to play it safe which will result in smaller less complex routes & timetables for all. Is that what any of us really want?
If they’re going to push to the limits fair enough, but they need to make sure their tech is robust and works properly. Should not be sitting there last night thinking as I was (again) that I just paid £30 to beta test a flawed product with another red light tangle on FSN, followed by another CTD when I tried to resolve the situation from the 2D map. Other than the flight sim market, DTG are one of the most expensive game DLC producers out there and it’s time they pulled their socks up.
It was you who made the suggestions that I should just be quiet. It’s how this forum works. People like yourself and Krusty come in and attempt to shut down conversation with the usual spiel, cause arguments and get the person banned. I’ve already been banned several times for being involved with krusty, after it was HIM who initially caused the aggro in the first place. And now you are bringing your age into it in an attempt at guilt. You people just don’t like people standing their ground. So I’ll say again, don’t engage with me, it’s totally fine. Put me on ignore or whatever, but don’t tell me to be quiet.
Dude I haven't got you banned at all your warped thought process and lack of ability to handle anything other than your opinion, your rather aggressive and angry attitude is what is getting you banned multiple times. Don't try to drag me down into your pit of hatred because you are not getting what you exactly want from the game. I don't give a monkeys butt about what you think or your opinions, I just put a counter opinion to yours, you're screaming about people telling you to be quiet, but at the same time your trying to silence anyone with a counter opinion to yours, congratulations you are the official living embodiment of a hypocrite........
yep, now imagine me with my OCD and other juicy mental tendencies really going on a rampage like in some of the threads lately yep, well said... but no, they are going to post another 50 posts about the same thing, just worded differently, and throwing some nice old gaslighting/strawmen into the mix about how you just cant stand their opinions (if we went with the beating the dead horse thing, that horse would be butter-spread smooth paste by now )
So, given you're obviously annoyed and don't get along with him, why are you still replying to him. If he bothers you that much, use the ignore function.
Yes, that boneheaded decision to change " reduced " to " standard " just compounds the problem of short-changing gen9 players. Everyone knows a euphemism when they see one, even if English is not their first language. Either way, it would seem that DTG's reputation has been damaged. The only damage control is to solve the optimization problem as quickly as possible, certainly before TSW6 is launched in the usual PR tsunami, which will ring kinda hollow at this point. I must admit that, as a PC player, I'm enjoying S-Bahn, but if only the playing field were level, this and the other rather toxic threads would not exist and we would all be discussing the pros and cons of the route instead. Even the usually moderate feedback thread has become full of unpleasantness.
Lol yes thats whats happening exactly, you have us pegged. Even though I never said to just be quiet, I said maybe stop replying directly to people who are happy/satisfied with rude comments back. I also never said I disagree with you either. And bringing age was not for guilt its to show I don't have time to sit around waiting for fixes, so if I have to sacrifice a busy timetable to not get blurry textures I'm satified with that trade off while they work on a fix. So go back to your fantasy world soap opera dude.
Openness, honesty and transparency is key. It sucks that they needed to do this to get the route to work in its current state on consoles. There was no need to pull a "tell them it's raining" with insincere corporate PR-speak. Indeed. right now I think the best thing they can do branding-wise is focus on TSW6 as "The long-needed optimisation pass" for the game. Focus on what they can fix on console. On smoothing the experience out. On making it such that a high end beefy graphics card of doom on PC like mine no longer feels like the "intended" way to play the game.
You are correct but I was just recommending a user to instead of constantly barking as a reply to anyone who is happy/satified with the game. Maybe direct that energy towards thinking of what DTG could try to fix it. Instead of attacking people who don't agree with them all the time.
The fixes should be released before TSW6 is released. Otherwise it will be very difficult to convince me as a customer to buy TSW6. Blurred textures are also on the DLC, where this problem did not appear. The texture bug has been solved for over 7 months and without result. I should trust the developers again to solve the problem?
Exactly but unfortunately history shows us that usually the next version releases then 2 weeks later the old gets the bug fixes but then support is dropped. So as I'm doing is just waiting for the new version. But from what Matt has said its not going to be a quick fix and we are only about 3 months away fron the next DTG direct annoucement. So I doubt there will be any major fixes before the new version.
