Moin, the landscape left and right of the tracks here may not be exactly spectacular, in fact is flat as a pancake and mostly suburban to rural, interrupted by a forest or industrial area here and there. But what makes this route intersting is the mode of operations - settled somewhere between a suburban train, S-Bahn and lightrail, all that with diesel only. The "VT2E" DMUs were a trademark of the AKN for many decades when they got replaced by modern LINT DMUs in 2015, hence I'd suggest to set the route in that era so we can have them both on the route. Other vehicles include the "Uerdinger" railbus, which the AKN still uses for special trains, and the MaK DE 1002 diesel loco for cargo services.
