Still haven't heard anyone say anything about the non-working camera sprint option on Classic controller on both Xbox and PS. Last month I mentioned it on the roadmap stream and was told to DM Matt, and I did. Haven't heard or seen any action, and I don't understand why it's difficult for these developers to make the game function the same way as it did for the previous 6 years.

I'd like to argue against this point and say that I think we did a good job answering the questions raised. Prior to starting the stream, I made sure to get as many of these comments onto my list to answer, and this thread itself was given more time before the Roadmap to allow for those questions to grow. We don't always have the best answers to every question, but from the ones raised in this thread with a good deal of upvotes, I would say we talked through many of those points.

Some questions we just can't answer, or we aren't sure yet ourselves, so we won't bring those up to prevent conflicting messaging. It should be obvious what areas these apply to. For most of the major questions that we could give some input on, even if it was just to mention that we're aware and have the issue logged on our internal trackers, I made sure to give mention to it.

There were a lot of comments in this thread which were just "is X fixed yet" which is a valid ask, but our response for these would either simply be a "yes", "we're looking at it", or "not yet". I'll reassure you by saying that these threads are looked through after the stream has happened by our dev & community teams, and for any mentions of those issues or bug fixes, we make sure to check up on the status of our tickets and re-raise them if needed.

I appreciate there's a lot you all want to ask us, especially regarding improvements, so whether we directly mention it on the stream or not, know that by raising it in these threads, at the very least we're looking at them, and checking on their progress. Finally, as it's the first Roadmap I have hosted, I'll also personally find a better way in which we can mention/talk about issues raised by the community. :)

Checking our system, there has been a ticket submitted for this, but it hasn't had any action yet, I'll get this onto our community list. For reference, we build both developer priority lists, as well as community ones, and we can organise priority from the two combined. I can't promise a fix soon, just know it'll be in that conversation to be looked at.

It is funny to observe Matts and Alexes wandering eye searching through Live Chat for easy&safe questions :D :D

I mentioned in the stream chat it was great to see how much progress you've made with your presentation skills since you first joined, Alex, so well done on that.

With regards to answered questions, I posted a question on this thread which received several upvotes but wasn't mentioned, around whether or not there will be fixes for rail journey services in TSW4 that were broken in TSW3. Was this one not answered because it's not known if they will be fixed, and are they being tracked? I've submitted bug reports for some, but the issues are varied (some are due to timings not being achievable leading to a red light, others are because loco assets aren't loading in, others because the loco flips off the rails every time when loading in, etc).

No. No plans. Rivet are quite busy with their new content

I've reviewed your post and will be looking at the progress of those individually named items today. I appreciate you did get upvoted and this probably would have been fine to mention on stream, although likely would have been given an acknowledgement.

I notice from the prices quoted in the Roadmap article that we in the US are still paying about 20% more over against UK players; this has been going on for about a year now.

That's conversion rates though. Whatever the other people pay, it's the equivalent price to us. We've been paying the same price since last year with the occasional drop in price depending on route

Sorry, it is not. 9.99 GBP is 12.26 USD today; not 14.99 USD (the price quoted for the Rivet gameplay packs).

So at the current exchange rate, I'm only 46 British years old. That makes me feel better.

Yeah, I'm 14 years younger than I thought I was. Great!! I'm so middle-aged now!! I might buy a Harley.

On a more serious note, I figure I've been paying about $3 more for routes than I should have in the last few years. That would add up to a tidy sum. Wonder if I can get a rebate. I've been looking at a new Lexus..........

I brought it up in Forums when shortly after TSW3 released that we in the US were paying about 20% more for new content - first it was blamed on Steam's pricing and then later something about Swiss franc exchange rate.

I think I speak for a lot of us when I say we’d just like better communication from you guys. I know you put in effort into the live stream and that is certainly appreciated but you guys were good about communicating with us prior to and right after the release of TSW4. When we ask a lot of questions, give bug reports, give feedback, whether it is positive or negative, and we don’t hear anything from you guys anymore, it’s a reason for concern. You’ve gone completely silent almost. You guys want us to get excited about new features and DLC coming when there is so much that needs to be fixed with TSW4 in its current state. I think a vast majority of us would like to see that stuff fixed more rather than what we can spend more money on in the future. And it’s not like there’s a shortage of threads regarding what’s wrong. Take your pick. I wouldn’t even be saying this if it was just a few people a few times but it’s not. There’s a vast majority of us who feel this way and make posts about it almost daily.

Bottom line, a lot of us would like to see better communication. You say you guys go through the threads. We would just like to know we are being heard. I have a hard time coming to terms with spending more money on DLC when I’ve already spent $50 USD on something that needs more than basic attention. Usually as a developer, you fix and perfect your original product before moving on to paid add-ons for it. That’s typically how it seems to work with other devs. We are the consumer. We should get what we we’re promised when we paid for it. Paying $50 for something only to see it’s still plagued with the same issues as several versions before it, even after those issues have been brought up multiple times, is definitely going to be cause for frustration and I think that’s where a lot of us are at right now.

They're "aware" of it, and they know roughly what is wrong. No timeline of a fix.

If this would be Steam as a platform you would have just got a community award from me!

    @Topic and DTG Alex
It is nice that you always report stuff like "it is on our internal community list" "we are aware of it" etc. but it doesn't help because as said by amtraknick1993 people feel fooled right now. Their is so much stuff raised since the release of TSW4 with feedback, broken stuff, problems for old and new content. Some things got worse, others got better since TSW4. It must be accepted that people do complain about this whole situation, we all have more or less been forced through a paywall called "TSW4" to get future fixes updates and be able to buy new content, otherwise we would have been locked out.

So if this is all on your internal tracker, why do you not tell us in your monthly report what is on your bugtracker?

    upload_2023-11-8_23-38-24.png
This is what you released on the roadmap about bugs and fixes, their has been a ton of more issues raised in the forums. No answers to it, no mentioning of it, best we could get is "we are aware of it" and that's it. Seems like the old DTG days are back, just let us release new content and hopefully people will never touch the other stuff again so they are no longer complaining about it. As I have said elswhere, the people like me who are complaining here don't complain because they hate DTG as a company or hate TSW as a simulator / game, we are here because we are passionate. We are your core customer group, the most loyal ones. And what is done over and over again is being ignored.

You said you raised questions with a lot of likes, sorry my posting with different questions on the Q&A thread had the most likes, NONE of the questions has been raised in the stream, the roadmap or answered anywhere else. Same is for other more critical or "in depth" questions. They are ignored, that's it. It feels like DTG thinks "oh this bunch of idiots, always complaining" no! We are trying to help YOU to get a better product out which would benefit DTG and us, the playerbase.

Don't get me wrong here, but it is really the time to see some other Simulator like SimRail is giving DTG some competition, nothing else seems to change the current situation.

It's not priority compared to bigger issues like crashing

That's well said. Several times I've raised the issue of incidental music in the scenarios, which a lot of us don't want and would like the option to turn off, but I've no idea whether anyone at DTG is paying attention. I find the music so off-putting I haven't played any of the scenarios in the new routes as I don't know when or if I'm going to be interrupted by it, and I certainly won't be buying any more routes if this isn't going to be addressed.

I sympathise with how busy Alex and DTG colleagues must be, but I'd really appreciate a "yes" or "no" on whether this request has been noticed and whether it's going to be fixed.

I suppose there isn't any news on that crash I first reported to you on TSW3 SIX months ago and which is still persistent with TSW4. Just as a counter-argument.

This is the problem, it seems like the strategy is "people will forget". People forget about crashes, people forget about scenarios which can't be finished, people forget after a few month about routes shining in red when some ai train passes you as the lights are broken, people forget about the promised changes to steam engines, people forget about the promised fixes for rush hour passengers, people forget about TSW2 patches as they all have by now bought TSW3 or 4, people forget about the "maybe" later integrated PIS system at Linke Rheinstrecke which was announced, etc.

Move along, nothing to see here, oh and please board our newest and most shiny hypetrain for upcoming stuff, it will also be broken but it is still new and shiny. Buy first, complain later, forget about it and please buy the next one, it will be better, we promise!

Oh and if we fix something but other things are broken then because of the fix (which was done sloppy and without too much effort), just be happy that we at least fixed one thing, even if it created two new problems, but you got what you asked for.

You raised some very good points as well! Couldn’t agree more with you. My whole point, as you also said, was we are tired of being fooled and nickel and dimed every release. Making us pay for more new stuff when the stuff we already paid for, even just the base TSW4 with no extra DLC, still needs so much attention. It almost feels like we entered a paid beta, which some developers will do. But this was marketed as complete and the next best thing in the franchise. I just don’t see it. Again, trying to steer us away from what’s already been released and trying to have us focus on new stuff we have to pay for when you continue to ignore or fail to address the issues that have already been brought to attention is just so not the right direction to take. So yes, feeling fooled is a good way to put it.

Again, couldn’t agree more here. “Maybe if we don’t mention it, people will eventually forget about it. They’ll wanna buy XYZ instead.” Meanwhile abandoning DLC that many users have really grown to like. I think on previous versions of TSW, it worked because we didn’t know better. We always assumed, “well maybe this version will fix what’s wrong. Okay, I’ll buy it.” I think people are just fed up at this point and they can see what’s going on. Can you imagine how unpopular a TSW5 might be at this point? As one very popular thread on here suggests, enough is enough. When 4 bugs are reported with a certain DLC and you release an update that’s supposed to fix stuff on it but you chose to cherry pick specific bugs instead of just fixing all 4, that’s ridiculous. Don’t even release an update until everything is fixed.

I’ll add that I’m neither against DTG or TSW as a franchise. Far from it. I’ll give credit where credit is due. Despite a vast majority of issues that it has, it’s still probably one of the best train sims out there. Imagine how much better it could be if we were actually listened to and the stuff we’ve asked for years to be fixed, actually gets fixed. I very much so do enjoy TSW and with the proper mods, I’ve found that it’s tolerable. As if I don’t get enough trains, I still enjoy sitting down to run TSW4. Granted I can only speak from my experience with the Antelope Valley Line as that’s all I run because it’s all I know. But I know there are more than a few issues that plagued other content within TSW4.

  27. This is for DTG as feedback on current practices. No one else need respond.

I still haven't bought TSW4. I bought SimRail instead, and mighty happy I did so too.

I asked this question back on pg 2 of this thread. It got 18 likes. I didn't watch the stream but I can reliably guess it wasn't answered..

"What will you do to regain customers who no longer have faith in your ability to deliver a quality product?"

If more and more people abandon your franchise, what will your strategy be then?

Suspect many are thinking likewise. I’m even sitting on the fence ATM over the Blackpool route following the revelation the 142 sounds may not be all they can be. And Rivet’s sawn off Bernina Line is just taking the biscuit. I know both of those are associate companies but it’s all being sold under the DTG TSW umbrella. The as it turned out lacklustre showing of the TSW4 routes, the continued arrogance of DTG themselves when it comes to feedback and criticism (searching questions asked on streams or in the Q&A threads ignored) does not inspire me with confidence when it comes to their own incoming new products.

I have actually formed a nice little nest around my PC gaming at present with a circle of Snowrunner, TSC and SimRail. The latter will feature large when the 21/11 update and EN57 land. Next Steam sale will add the Poschiavo to Tirano Bernina line section which can then have the mega merge with the other Bernina section and Albula line so I can drive from Thusis to Tirano. TSW sadly features less and less and it is going to take an exceptional improvement in the core or first class bug free DLC to pique my interest.

Same for the post by OldVern concerning steam physics. 19 likes and my post echoing it got 13. Not even mentioned on stream. Doesn’t look good considering that steam seems to be moving in the wrong direction instead of forwards.

And people still want DTG to make a US steam loco.

There are those that just want content for the sake of content, and those that wants the content to operate at an acceptable level.

It would be great if DTG run some stream where they would briefly go over the main problems of the game (based on requests from the community) with comments on each. Otherwise, it turns out that we are not aware of whether the developers know about the problem or whether they are going to fix it. What is the future of all the old add-ons (before TSW3), is it worth sending bug reports on them or is no one going to fix them at all.

  34. I found this in an old FAQ from just prior to release of TSW4 (well from August but it already feels 'old'). The last one is kind of funny in a not funny kind of way.. possibly indicative of some dots that could be joined..

"Will Train Sim World 3 continue to receive updates?
There will be a short window after the release of Train Sim World 4 where Train Sim World 3 will receive updates focused on improvements to tutorials, scenarios and the Trenton – New York timetable. After this time, there will be no further updates. Further details can be found in the roadmap article.

Will Train Sim World 3 be compatible with new add-ons?
No, Train Sim World 3 will not be compatible with any add-ons released after the launch of Train Sim World 4.

What is considered a legacy Train Sim World game?
Legacy Train Sim World games are those that are no longer being updated. This includes…

    • Train Sim World 2020
    • Train Sim World 2
    • Train Sim World 3

Can I still purchase legacy games?
Train Sim World 2020, Train Sim World 2 and Train Sim World 3 will no longer be available for purchase digitally."

First, I want to say I like how DTG Alex you dealt with managing the Livestream and I would like to see more of you in future streams, not only JD.

However, I still have some issues with the way how DTG is managing these livestreams.

    1. A big part of the livestreams is reserved as a kind of presentation place for upcoming DLCs. This is fine, however a lot of our questions regarding bugs and improvements to the core game are going under as they simply do not get the time left to talk about. I would prefer a way how you separate both, livestreams for presentations for new content (DLCs) and livestreams for bug fixes. In this way, you also could manage things to address better and people wouldn't ask you difficoult questions in chat about bug fixes when you want to talk about new content and vice versa.

    2. The overall time you took to address only a few little questions we raised here, I checked to be roughly about from 10 to 15 minutes starting from 1:11:20 in a livestream of 1 and a half hours in total. I think this is not correct. We took the time to address and populate this thread, so you should address our concerns in the same way, and took the necessary time for it. And yes, I'm aware of the fact that you answered some questions raised here during the roadmap stream in the hour before either directly or implicitly, but giving just about 10 minutes for our questions only selecting a very few (plus also some uncommon ones) to answer is simply not fair. Point.

    3. I do not like the emphasize you take on the actual Live chat, because at least my feeling and impression is that you take attention to often completely silly questions raised in chat and therefore took the time away for the questions people raised here in the forum, which indeed have more background knowledge about TSW. For me, there is an overemphasization (don't know if this word exists in english, but I think you get the point) of the chat and an unfair attention to that in comparison to the questions raised here.

    4. It would be nice if more people of your developers could be engaged in the chat regularly, not only Matt as executive producer. I guess many questions could be answered by the respective teams themselves, not only Matt. Matt himself says so many times, that he needs to ask the teams on whether something is possible to implement or not. Why not just let those people answer our questions directly?

    5.
I think the problem is that we can't see that you care about the issues, if this is the case. Still a little too less feedback from your developers in this forum. I mean you for example, it's nice to have you as a community manager, and DTG JD and dtg_jan to being engaged to communicate with the community, but where is the feedback from the the people of DTG who actually do implement the bug fixes and actually do create core improvements?

I think you could feel yourself left alone when imagine to be in our situation as well. You don't want to so much beef in the community? Talk to us. You don't want annoying questions over and over again? Talk to us. You want to have a positive community about your products? Talk to us and give us proof that the people in charge really do something for the money we give you.

That was just my point about the livestreams.

Agree with the post above. I hardly bother with roadmaps nowadays, it's just a stream of forget the bugs, let's take a look at the new shiny DLC on the way, they answer and repeat the price of the DLC which is constantly asked but ignore key questions about bugs and fixes. The roadmap certainly isn't as good as it used to be when Adam from the Pres Crew used to keep us updated with what was going on in updating old routes etc. and Sam used to give both Adam and Matt a grilling, although I must admit JD has got better over time.

As I say, nowadays it's more of a plug stream than keeping us updated on bugs and fixes.

I agree, there were questions raised like the GWE HST wipers that were not addressed. I can't see any real commitment here to fixing bugs, something that most other developers do. Again, SCS Software or Carsten Hoelscher (Zusi) serve as a role model.

Instead, you announced to apply the forced new camera view for the MML HST too, something which is not wanted by two thirds of the community, a simple poll I made shows this. Show that you are listening to us. We are the ones playing the game.

Aside from this, good job DTG Alex !

No, these are asking too much for several reasons. Firstly the people that do the coding/work bug fixes are just normal people like you and I. They are not paid to be a face or a mouthpiece of the company, and are not paid to face potentially uncomfortable situations or positions such as being put on the spot, live in the moment, by unhappy consumers of their employers products

Secondly, due to the long memory that members of this forum have, any slip of the tongue regarding a feature or explanation or any particular statement about the game will be remembered for years to come and brought up ("DTG promised this in a stream!") which again, is a risk that no employer of size would take (this is a similar reason most (if not all) large companies tell their employees not to respond to press questions and the like, and refer them to PR/marketing)

Lastly, Matt/Alex/JD are authorised to speak on behalf of the company, and equally know what they are and are not permitted to talk about/acknowledge, whereas developer employee X is not. Allowing someone not versed in this arcane witchcraft on what is essentially a PR piece, and even moreso when it is live, is simply too much of a risk for the business (see JD leaks for reference)

While you're right that coders are no spokesmans, What I essentially had in mind to address was the issue we have today and causes so many disappointment in the community:
The lack of information whether the people who actually are responsible for these changes do care about the issues we have or not and whether they do improve features like we want/need them to have or not.

It's not that I want anyone feel exposed or freightened to leak anything or make promises by getting in touch with us. I, and I guess a whole lot of community members, simply want to see more about how they care and are on work providing a healthy solution.

JD and Alex are only people which are engaged at DTG to talk to us and of couse build a protecting brickwall against intriguing and potentially harmful questions. I get that. However, we don't know (at least have no proof or evidence) about what the developers behind the mask are thinking about our problems and feature suggestions.

It's simply not enough for me to get talked always and always again "we're in touch with the developement" and "the developers still are on to fix this or that". It's simply not enough. There is no proof or evidence that this true and if true how they mind to improve it.

And this exactly is the lack of information which leads to confusion, disappointment and anger amongst some community members. We never know how the people who can get the things done like we want them to have are thinking at all about it. Whether it even makes sense for them to invest in creating or improving it or whether it is only a joke to them and they never even planned to something with it.

"We're on to fix that" is simply too less information. Who exactly is this "we"? and what exactly is going to be fixed? A little bit more information about that could bring a lot of people from being angry or dissapointed to a stage where it's okay to wait for it, even if it takes a while.

Exactly this is the point were I personally also get inpatient and angry anywhere else in real life: Are the responsible persons really doing the things I asked or ordered them to do? Did they even understand my issue right? And are they really about to solve that problem for me? or just take it onto a note or bucket list of forgettable things.

The publication of any information that my case is getting processed correctly really makes me - as the one who has the problem - feel way more comfortable, relaxing and doesn't get me into the restlessness to always ask again for it. And so, if I know so, can also wait way longer for it, if I'm personally assured that things will change and I get what I wanted, sooner or later.

For me personally and to speaking a little bit more harsh about it, it is even a sign of intelligence and good character if I can see that the other person understands my sorrows which causes my impatience and therefore gives me clear signs that the case is processed and handled well.

But this is not the case here. We only got empty promises from the persons who are in fact not in charge to solve the problem over and over again, since there are no plain facts or any kind of evidence which show else.

This miscommunication or lack of information between the actual developers (not even Matt as executive) and us, as the costumers, is my argumentation, nothing else.

I remember that one of DTG's coders has admitted in a thread that he was the one responsible for the rain in the tunnels. Which now leads to some sort of commitment that is probably not wanted by Matt or DTG's bosses. And I'm still sure this "sweeping-under-the-rug" mentality was one reason that good old "Colonel Failure" Sam left DTG, as he was our advocate in the streams.

What I had in my mind was not to expose anyone for being responsible for a fault as rather a channel to communicate with the developers and get informed about the current state of developement.

What about an anonymous way to give feedback that our issues or the tickets raised are in process, maybe explaining it a bit in detail?

If DTG still thinks they could contain potentially "harmful" information, they could check or clear it by the community managers before.

In this way we could have detailed information about the process of a bug fix or feature, 1. without the identification of a responsible person and 2. without a potential leak.

We just need a pinned bug tracker thread, and CMs acknowledging bugs visually. (Or rejecting them, there's a fair amount of false flags in here too, to be fair. This pre-sorting already happens by the community, but the forums are a total mess.)

You already get the maximum of shareable information about bug fixes i would say. What you asking for will not happen at any company at this size and workload. They would need to hire 10 extra people just to gather all the information about every bug and the state of it to present it to you. Nothing the customers should care about tbh.. When they say they working on it, then all you need to know is, they work on it. Be more patient.

And, as a developer of my own (not an DTG employee) i can clearly tell you, that especially the community here and on other places is the reason why development get stuck. The amount of negativity is not a motivation for doing anything more that needed. If you then want contact to developers, you will make it worse. These are just people, not machines. And even a machine could not do what you want. Btw. there is a sort of machine working all the time holding the list of bugs, tracking the state of them ect. pp. There is really work going on on the fixes. But it is definitely nothing you should care about in detail and it is a rather slow process generally. Bugs also need to be prioritised by it's nature and workload. Makes no sense to put a bug onto a dev that can't fix it. If the person that can fix it has to do other work, then the bug has to way, if it's not a world-universum-braking-thing.

Just my 2 cent of course. I'm not speaking for DTG at any time.

You work ethic and DTG's are miles apart.

I could pick one thing, all 442 formations spawning in Aachen have the wrong end cars without pantos. Broken since TSW2. Fixed by a modder very quickly. I do not see how negativity by some forums members will put bugfixing on hold. They have the CMs to sort this out. They are here for us.

TSW4 suddenly has RRO catenary misplaced. Only recooking did this? Reported, posted images, checked in editor - ignored by DTG!

GWE wipers - cheeky adding a new camera and not fixing the obvious. And it's not impossible.

How can I know DTG knows it other than by browsing through hundreds of threads?

Why not pin a thread, listing known bugs. (Confirmed/Unconfirmed/No bug/fix in progress). Is the job of a CM only censoring posts? We have a whole bunch of them. Asking for feedback just to let it drown?!? Seriously, Maik?

And honestly, most bugs don't require a year to fix. It's just not in DTG's interest or know-how it seems. Me and others even have browsed through assets, scripts, pointing out the bug source. No reaction, I've been ignored very often, spending hours on beta testing and bug tracking - most of the time being completely ignored instead of appreciated.

Breaking things that worked is not acceptable and requires full commitment by the devs who have taken our money. I don't see any.

You should not wonder about negativity towards DTG, Maik. They simply do not respect us. And it seems they do not even play their own game.

However, Dovetail Games is a very, very special case. An ever growing list of new coming bugs, never fixed bugs and broken promises is attached to this company, plus the fact that many people are not satisfied with the way they treat their own products in relation to the prices we pay for this content. Especially DTG as a game developer has a not to underestimating problem with their costumers and community because of that, where people feel disappointed or even betrayed.

Going the same way further as years before does not work out for a much longer time anymore I guess. If they do not find a way to make compromises and get in touch with the people that literally build them up, they maybe will even fail with their business and the TSW franchise could end at some point in the not so far future.

Regaining the faith of the community as sunscreen asked with 18 upvotes (but of course didn't got answered),

is essential to the resistance and maintenance of the business Dovetail Games on its own and is one of the last rescue rings (we both know in germany we also say "letzter Wink mit dem Zaunpfahl" - "last wave with the fence pilar") that something needs to change soon. Else, they lose more and more faith of important and crucial costumers who even made this game and this company what it is today. But some people still seem to have no clue or react accordingly to this circumstance.

We will see where it will take them for doing so, as a very specific game developer.

I’m fairly confident that everyone who left DTG when the entirety of it was sold to Focus were shareholders in the company and that’s why they left, as they would have been required to sell their shares, possibly against their wishes, and all that goes with that. That includes Sam.

That is not what i said. I did not meant the bug fixing.

That is not true. The reasons why it is as it is are way different and way more complex than you can think of from outside. But all that is already and repeatedly mentioned on the live streams over and over. It's just that no one want to hear the truth how things are going (or not going). Fixing a single bug is more than touching a few bytes to go straight again. Fixing a bug is the easiest thing on all the things that need to go on when a bug-fix needs to go out to customers.

I can honestly say, from my experience by proxy (i.e. my brother is an experienced developer of many years), every programmer or other development person (artist, etc.) 100% cares about everything they are doing and will try their hardest to fix bugs.

However, while they are responsible for the leg work and care about it, they are not responsible for deciding what is worked on at each moment.

    No.

SKA 442 need swapping the cars in the formation, preserving consist length. That's all. A minute job - two years you think are ok?

GP38-2 script. Substract 14 psi from BP pressure before output in the HOTD RVV diplay script as in the SD40. Takes years? So I take it they do have a developer working on it, just needs a few years more of testing to meet DTG's quality standards? Lol.

Wipers: Replace the window material. I'll generously give you a week.

RRO: Open the editor, replace the catenary. Just as before. Think about why it is misplaced!

Clinchfield Banking Comm: A joke for years. "Looking into it." It's a lie - or Matt has zero authority. Advice from Producer: play using 3 camera and operate DPU through the window, "it's fun". Especially on a tunnel route smashing away your camera constantly.

Future of train simulation. But hey - you must be right, things need testing and I'm sure they've employed somebody who is working on this for years now, telling him to don't rush things. Nudge nudge.

It only takes very long if you are actually working on things you as a dev do not understand, maybe because of content made by contractors, maybe due to staff fluctuation and loss of knowledge. Lava Flow programming.

Completely disagree. Core related bugs, timetable, yes. But do keep us updated. Other devs can.

And for testing: This has always happened AFTER release, so I dismiss that point. Latest joke was the reintroduced and rolled back "mod compatibility". What is going on at Chatham?!? I can't take them seriously, no matter how I try, and the cat ears don't help either.

If I was a skilled modeller or scripter and would see my work being sabotaged by others at DTG, I would surely leave that company. This just came to my mind after seeing what a nice model Skyhook's 187 actually is and how it got completely ruined by incompetent scripters.

I think we should get our causality chain straight here: With certainly a few exceptions, I´m convinced that a overwhelming majority of forum members visit and participate on these forums with the best of their intentions. What causes all this negativity are the somewhat economical interpretations of business ethics and moral standards on DTG side.

The forum is just a reflection of it.

    Action ----> Reaction. Simple, really.
