You might well be because DTG leave their product buggy and broken so Skyhook aren't really doing anything different than what the devs of the game they're making DLC for have been doing since TSW first hit the market
I want to hear from dtg I’m not interested in your assumptions based on your interpretation of the article this is a q&a thread for the stream … I want to hear THEIR answer.
How is it an assumption? If Conrail was included they would have highlighted it in the article. You're just being argumentative for no reason imo. I'm not happy it isn't included either, so i'm just not buying it.
My question had absolutely nothing to do with conrail. I’m not being argumentative with anyone. I asked a simple question to dtg to the stream. I get answers from people who aren’t dtg and nonsense from people who have no clue what we are even talking about.
Screenshots say otherwise. The article shows the old sky still. That's why I said let's wait and see what has changed tomorrow
Because it's illogical, and makes no sense. Your question is redundant, as the evidence has already been provided that it's not upgraded. The Q&A is for Skyhook, DTG aren't answering any of the questions.
Because the game has been updated! If they were going to update HSC to TOD4 then you will see it in the update therefore if you check the route your question has been answered! How hard is that to understand?
It’s a public forum, people can answer if they want to. They are trying to be helpful. If you don’t want their answers, ignore them and tune in to the stream in the hope that your question will be answered. No need to tell us you don’t want our answers. Others may find them helpful.
Are you serious right now? The huge illegal war and genocide going on in Ukraine right now maybe? Adding in anything Russian right now would be a massive negative PR move. It's the same reason Euro Truck Simulator canceled their Russian DLC. The international community doesn't want anything to do with Russia right now, and rightfully so until the country stops their atrocities in Ukraine.
It scares me a lot, how much we now have to realising people about basic ethical and moral relation... More and more society is loosing moral compass, everything is directing into terminal alienation and postmodernistic lack of values. Thanks for this lesson Mate.
Hello everyone, We've unfortunately had to cancel the stream tonight again due to staff illness - however, we know there are questions you'd like answering from Skyhook about their development for MML updates which we were planning to answer on the live stream - we will look to provide a written update on the forums instead. Thank you for understanding
I just ran the 6:44 Intermodal from Johnstown to Altoona with PRR 8102 and was really happy to see 8101 pass me on an AI train almost straight away. Later in the trip the same loco passed me again on another train. I hope Skyhook can look into that.
about the missing Conrail locomotive, does the apparently failing license prohibit a Livery Designer repaint?
It has nothing to do with Steam. DTG are the ones that set the prices. They don't have to listen to whatever Steam says. It's optional
Hello Mate, Did could you realize if the radiators on the ES44AC are now functioing? Thank you very much for your answer in advance
OK... I've bitten the bullet and gave a shot to this one... I like NS heritage locos, and contrary to most I think 9 liveries and 6 scenarios for this price... not great, not terrible. The locos themselves look rather good, no glaring issues, nice texture resolution, fine (one would call it a bare minimum, but we've all seen the UP locos...). Shame they are on an outdated ES44 platform with old bugs and no upgrades (even just the sounds from the BNSF ES44C4 would be a great improvement). BUT... the first scenario already... you're supposed to gather all the heritage locos and get them to a display... simple, quick scenario... Now... some might consider my problem with this a nitpick, but do you notice an issue here? Spoiler You're missing one loco... (And no, not the Conrail one not in the DLC) It is no dealbreaker, but how does this even happen??? This makes me a bit baffled about how scenarios get made if this gets through. Forget that there are no railfans around that would storm IRL such an event (and a feature HSC introduced into the game), you have 9 liveries someone probably spent a lot of time on... and in your "all loco" scenario... you forget one? AND it is, ironically, THE Norfolk Southern livery you forgot... WOW. Other than that, it already seems to be the case these are made with the same in-game substitution technology as the UP ones, so expect duplicates in the timetable... lovely immersion break. As I said, they look good, they make the route somewhat better, but there was a lot more that needed to be done. Everyone knows this route has problems and none were fixed for this release. And there was no buzz around this release, it just happened (I know about the staff illness, but still). Even the horrible UP pack got a lot of coverage pre-release (and updates to SMH including TOD4). Why so?
Well it got an article and the streams got cancelled due to staff illness. I would say coverage is about average. Glossop line also happened suddenly. It was something I was expecting. It just dropped on the roadmap
This started with TSW3 as far as i can tell. UK customers paid £30 which would be around $38 USD. But instead it was $40 for new content, $2 more. There was an attempt at an explanation but I didn't get it. Someone has said they use the "Swiss franc exchange rate" rather than the global exchange rate, and I don't get that either.
Hello everyone, As mentioned previously, I am sharing forward a response from Skyhook Games regarding updates for Midland Main Line. Further feedback and reports have been received, but the list below is their priority for now: Collectables [In Progress - Almost Resolved] It required a deep dive to find out what was going on. Testing the fixes revealed a few remaining issues. Terrain Painting Issues [Under Investigation] Investigated with the help of various staff at DTG and as yet we don't have an answer. The terrain painting is the same as other routes. Signage errors and quality [In Progress] Station and depot signage are being improved. Speed Sign Text Size [In Progress] This will be completed after the station signage. Class 158 PIS feedback [No Progress Yet] We continue to investigate conflicting reports on if it needs to change. Controls not working as expected on controllers [No Progress Yet] Remaining TPWS glitches [No Progress Yet] Missing services in the timetable [No Progress Yet] They wanted to reaffirm that Midland Main Line remains very much an active project for the team at Skyhook. Thank you all, we will share more news on the update when it is ready
I did two of the scenarios last night. If the issues are the dynamic brakes are too strong I saw that doing the second scenario. I though it was because I had empty coal. I did use the independent brake at 30% or so to maintain speed down a 1% grade
There's also the issue with they can't really hold the train steady/smoothly. In Sherman Hill, if you apply dynamic braking, the train can maintain it's speed, the speedometer is stable and it feels like a smooth transition. For the es44ac, when you have dynamics applied, the locomotive jerks back and forth and the speedometer goes crazy. On the speed graph, it shows oscillations where it jerks around. It doesn't feel as good as the sd70ace or the es44c4
Licensing most likely, Conrail still exists as the CSAO and their website states their logo can't be used without their consent and DTG doesn't have a Conrail license. The only thing I can't make sense is why it was allowed in TSC way back in the day.
I didn’t see the jerking until I took it off. I’ll look for it. Dynamic braking may or may not hold a speed. More often than not it’ll either slightly brake or gain speed so I switch bavk and forth.
It sort of freaks out a bit. Not sure about the term but I found it acts differently compared to Sherman Hill and cajon pass. Probably cuz the consist is too light or it's too powerful. I'm not entirely sure.
Too strong and other issues. They are set up in power increments that correspond to notches instead of being continuously variable. The lever works correctly in percentages but the actual brake power applied does not, it just steps up at certain percentages. The braking power doesn’t seem to be affected by speed either which is wrong. I have used the independent brake as a substitute for the dynamic at times. It was the only way to stop the train derailing before that bug was fixed in TSW3.
NS also acquired the CR reporting mark. Operations under CSX and NS began on June 1, 1999, bringing Conrail's 23-year existence to an end.[3
Indeed- i took this one a couple weeks ago on the Keystone corridor- NS local to the Coatesville PA steel plant Edit: it's CR21201, blocked by the sign unfortunately
Conrail still exists as CSAO, performing some switching tasks for its owners using NS and CSX power. It also has some of its own crews and MOW equipment.
