An issue (and really the only issue) I've had with TSW is how your purchased DLC for earlier than TSW6 didn't always show up as owned in the PS store and you've had to go back and look at each DLC that you think you might have bought to see if you have bought them or not and then download them at least in part to take the price off the latest version of the DLC. This was compounded last year with the fact that buying a later version of a DLC didn't automatically give you compatibility in previous TSW versions. My questions: 1) Will all my DLCs that I have purchased in TSW6 and earlier in the past automatically show up in the TSW7 versions online as having been purchased or will we have to go back and forth to convert them to TSW7 if they don't? This is a big problem and makes upgrading to the newer (in this case TSW7) version much harder than it should be. 2) Will purchasing DLCs in TSW7 that came out before TSW7 still not automatically give you backwards ownership these DLCs in TSW6 and earlier? I suspect the answer to this question will still be "no." I still suggest (as I did when this issue was first discussed) that instead of making things less complicated, which was the given reason for making that change, it made them more complicated and forced players to keep track of which DLCs they owned. I realize that once people go to TSW7 they automatically scrap the earlier versions, but I think it's really unfair to do this especially since the earlier versions will still be on sale. It would have been so much easier, I think, to assume compatibility for any DLC that came out earlier than TSW7. That said, I am looking forward to TSW7. I've been in this game since TSW 2020. It has been my go-to game and has survived competition on my PS with other games, the toughest being MLB The Show, which I dropped last year for good. (I like to get something when I put my money down, and not get into basically an auction for any cards you need or have to be a superb player to get the best ones.) I'm now 74 and I've noticed some games seem to be a little out of my league now. (Pun intended.) I'm glad to see TSW7 will have easier controls. I look forward to the other improvements. And I suspect the game will have a number of new routes in the U.S. that we'll hear about. One of my favorites has always been the Peninsula Corridor because it's the only one in the game I've ridden on. I suggested a while back that the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) routes would be a good addition. I hope that can happen someday. Thanks again, Dovetail, for the great game.
i am pretty sure the DLC change over from 6 to 7 will be the same as it was from 5 to 6 - meaning we will need to navigate the PS store to each individual DLC and click to add to the library (and then download) which is a pretty solid pain in the keister. As for pre TSW7 DLC, i think it will carry on as it did with TSW6, that is to say anything you have purchased will carry forward but not back. so if you were to purchase fir example the "Midland Main Line" for TSW3 it would carry forward to TSW7 but due to the changes made with TSW6 anything from TSW6 forward wont work on previous games. So the tl;dr is - yeswe will need to manually ad each DLC like every previous time TSW changes its number, DLC will always carry forward but no longer is backwards with TSW5 or previous
