    Hi,

I have been trying to run the Steam Sounds Supreme super detail mid hants route with the S15 enhancement pack but I keep getting out of memory crashes either whilst loading the scenario or shortly after it has loaded. I have tried all the fixes I can find including checking the page file stuff, unsubscribing from workshop scenarios, clearing the cache, deleting SDBcache.bin, verifying integrity of game files.

I am running it on a Dell inspiron 5490 with i7 10th gen processor, 12GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce MX230 GPU. I know a desktop is a better option but this is what I have.

Do I need more RAM or is it something else?

    TIA

No - the crash is not caused by the amount of Physical RAM (or the Paging File size) you have installed. It is probably caused by something called an "Invalid Page Fault" and is due to a memory mismatch between the Windows Virtual Address Space (VAS) and the Physical RAM. Google!
It is idiosyncratic and may occur on one PC but not on another.
Also in your case, it may be due to the low-end video card on the laptop causing excessive latency resulting in a crash.

OK, is there anything I can do to fix this or is it just fundamentally the GPU?

I've been getting this while route building, both in 32 bit and 64 bit - ironically the 32 bit dump message tells me to try 64 bit.
This is the same machine I have dabbled with route building on for 4 or 5 years now so the hardware is the same. It is only recently, possibly after TS2022 kicked in, that I've been getting these errors. So there must at least be the possibility that TS2022 has gained a memory leak somewhere or is not clearing down the RAM and VRAM as it should.

Thanks for posting that. There has been at least one major Windows update in the last week or so. Will check next time I fire up the development machine.
