Like in MSTS?

 

Was watching the passengers get on / off the service the other day.

They kept pushing the passengers trying to alight back on the train! - There was one in particular who also kept alighting to push others back on.

Found it very amusing, but it is silly.

Although, not entirely unrealistic. People do get shoved back on the train by others, occasionally.

 

I second this!
We definitely need more representation of people.

Wheelchair users, people with walking sticks, canes, pushchairs, buggies, prams, bicycles. People with assistance dogs. People with ear defenders, hearing aids.

Setting ramps out in conductor mode.

People with pin badges, lanyards, be it pride ones, accessibility ones (like sunflower or calm) or other decorative badges.

 

the trains and stations are not even capable to accommodate people with mobility issues, unless it is to place them in the train in the toilet, and the station there is a gap so large that the wheel on a walker or wheelchair would get stuck between the train and the dock, plus in most a person with wheelchair or walker would be stuck on some dock as they can not either get out or in of the dock, much less the station itself

Since the train for passenger is so much a thing in Europe, I was expecting better. Like here in Canada all the Via Rail station are fully accessible, and so are the trains, and they sit you with the normal passengers, and not in or beside the toilet

 

More representation and diversity would be amazing, and so would be more interaction variety.
What does that mean?
Well, we've already started to see more interaction on newer routes. People standing in small groups, a couple sitting on a bench, leaning into each other, such things.
I'd like to push it a bit further, like someone kneeling down, rummaging in a bag. A couple hugging and saying goodbye before one of them boards my train. Someone using (or pretending to use) a snack vending machine (although I could imagine this being downright impossible to script without modifications to each route/platform).

Also I'd like to see more variety to people on the train. A group of four, chatting. Someone leaning against the window, sleeping. A couple of people glued to their phones. Somebody having a sandwich. Things like this would help the immersion a lot, especially on Conductor Mode.

But still, I'd rather see at least some of the most pressing issues and problems fixed before we start dreaming up so many exciting new additions...

 

I'll be happy if the passengers don't spawn where they shouldn't, spawn where they should, get on and off the train properly and don't fall off platforms, bridges etc. Is that too much to ask?

yes, and there’s zero evidence to back up that there’s any likelihood of it. I really, really doubt it. I’m not one to defend DTG usually, but that’s a bit of a stretch.

Seems quite ridiculous to return a train to depot or put it into service already full of passengers! Don't think a TMD act like a terminus, where everyone has already boarded, don't it?

These three decided to block the doorway & just stand there....

The one in purple couldn't figure out how to push past them.

 

I think that's more an issue of the routes than the passengers itself. It seems to be more noticeable on some particular routes, at least. But yes, it's very annoying nonetheless, and often causes delay.

 

I just see it as a peaceful protest about rail fares in the virtual world, looking at it that way it's almost accurate.......
