The 1938 stock got everywhere; take your pick of most of the Underground lines. The only problem is that you'd want new destinations, and it's not clear how easy reskins will be.
OK then so maybe the new Main Spessart Bahn with the Heigenbrücken tunnel and the whole Schnellfahrstrecke Hannover Würzburg basically the full length of KWG via the connector line. Another one is rebuilding Vorarlberg Bahn by making it as a 4 country route Switzerland Germany Austria Lichtenstein
Indeed. I was thinking of something quick and simple to make that didn’t require complex modelling of sub surface stations. Epping to Ongar on the Central Line another potential tube quickie…
Having co-authored a publication on this, and thoroughly researched the signalling /drawn the signalling diagrams, I have scale diagrams for about 80% of the whole Northern Heights in some shape or form; as well as signal plans and some timetable information.
Some good suggestions, I would love to see some heritage routes in the game, I know Matt has a liking for the Bluebell Line. My choices would be Severn Valley, KWVR, KESR and NYMR
Why? Genuinely why? Thats pointless and takes forever. Given most "teams" will be around 5-ish people. So I think having a mega route including a remake of an existing route isnt really worth it.
Any thoughts on a route that would sit nicely with the 4F and passenger stock? The only one that comes to immediate mind is Somerset and Dorset though they tended to be used on local passenger or as pilots on the heavier trains. But there must have been other backwater branch lines or secondary routes where these would turn up on a regular basis.
They seem to have been quite prevalent on the Charnwood Forest Railway although by the time the TSW liveried 4F is set it was only freight (passenger services stopped in the 30s) and the odd rail tour.
I really hope that some players using the Editor could work on the existing section of Dresden Airport and Würzburg-Gemünden, to finish those branches, it would really be great, because I don't think, that DTG would bring those missing branches to the game, so it would be open for Creators to finish
I think they might have popped up working services on the SMJ in its latter days. A route I would love to try and bring part of into TSW but not to rush into headlong as a first or even second project. Could just look at doing something semi fictional for now, maybe even re-open a bit of disused railway in the Midlands as a heritage railway!
DTG have stated that existing routes (track, scenery, etc) can't be edited as they require the source files
Nothing saying they can't be recreated from scratch. The only thing holding someone back is the time required.
I wasn't saying they couldn't, but being realistic who is going to spend what is most likely years of their time recreating an already existing route so they can then add the extra lines to it. I was just trying to manage people's expectations when they hope that existing routes can simply be added to in quick fashion - sadly they can't currently
I can say I won't be. But if people want to, nothing stopping them. Maybe once they try making their own routes they will see how hard it actually is.
A few ideas for locomotive content to use on LBN in a similar vain to Legends of the Great Western. Class 403 5BEL EMU Brighton Belle (original and rebuilt) Class 427 4VEG EMU GatEx Class 73/488/489 consist GatEx Class 460 Juniper EMU GatEx Class 442 5WES EMU GatEx It would be nice to use these classic types on LBN.
