So you don’t have proof then which was asked when questioned “and you know this how”. You are just speculating. Wrong builds can be used very easily. Especially when using steam and opt into betas etc. Take ets2/ats for example you can roll back and forth with builds. For all we know that’s what could have happened here we don’t know just like you don’t know.

 

If that is the case, as soon as they identify its an old build. Surely they restart with the correct one. DTG streams have been interrupted and restarted for less in the past.

 

If you don't know anything about software development including pipelines, CI and SVC systems then please don't pretend as if you'd know how it is in practice.

The reputation and future of the wider TSW platform is being damaged by this vendor. It should clearly not be released in this state.

 

Delays won’t be happening now, best (inevitable really) to wait and see what the route turns out like.

it’s been said a lot was to do with the build, we will all see when it releases how right that is.

 

I doubt it’s as easy as that. The build that was used was set up during that day. DTG are on a schedule too, they can’t just drop everything last minute. Still, it was very unprofessional of them not checking before hand what build they were showcasing, prior to the stream.
We can all speculate, but it would be better to see what the final build is like on Monday’s ambassadors steam.

So they spent all day working with an old build, but noticed 10 mins into the stream? Even though DTG staff and Beta testers will be privvy to whatever Rivet submit throughout the final stages of development.

 

Who knows what goes on behind the scenes, that’s why it’s only speculation. It’s highly unlikely they would show off an inferior product on purpose, when they know the mob will come at them with the pitch folks ready.

 

I think the last time the folks in these virtual halls weren't armed with ridiculously sharpened Pitchfork's, to the degree that just looking at them could make you bleed in some way, was about 2020.....

Well it seems despite the overwhelming result and probably the largest turnout ever for a poll on these forums, the release is going ahead as planned. Nothing from DTG to say they have listened to concerns and agree the route needs further work.
