Based mainly around the Eastmidlands of Nottinghamshire a very well know area for coal mining + we have great country side & farmland & what better way to share that with our fellow train enthusiasts than to hope that Dove tail gaming gets to work on this fantastic project. More routes is always good,, I just really want someone to make the routes from my area Eastmidlands Nottinghamshire because of the beautiful scenery here & the great rail history in the area also we have a 5 track main line running through Chesterfield station & Double track running through Mansfield & shirebrook That then joins into the main coal line that goes past Welbeck Colliery junction & under peafield bridge it would be good to be able to understand how the trains run better in the local area with the vast amount of countryside & bridges from Victorian times . I spoke to a chappi a few years ago working for freightliner out side Welbeck colliery,,, He had came up from immingham ,, was going to Cottam power station then returning back to Welbeck Colliery then going back to immingham for the end of shift . Track Maintenance Tampers Rail grinders HST Measurement Train MPV Track cleaner Track replacement / repair Would be good if when say reach level 100 you can maintain the rail world.. Network Rail movement & Ballast loading unloading .. Eastmidlands Trains Mansfield central Trains XCountry Trains Location & routes Cottam power station Welbeck colliery Operated from 1912 Clipstone colliery Biggest head stocks in Europe at over 200 feet tall Thorsby colliery Cemex Buxton aggregate Robin Hood line Nottinghamshire Derbyshire Chesterfield ShireBrook Station / signal box Mansfield Woodhouse Warsop Warsop vale Meden vale Peafield bridge Lincoln Lincolnshire Newark W.H Davis Langwith Immingham Hull Southampton Dock Toton yard Doncaster / Doncaster yard Barrow hill Fox low junction Tapton Junction Mansfield junction Welbeck colliery junction More freight & longer freight journeys & longer & shorter rakes of wagons ,, For example sometimes two trains will come into W.H Davis bringing just one item of unusual freight. Would be good to be able to load & unload & complete a whole job realistically
I recommend this group go to Facebook group There’s some great videos & photos there of the area & a link into some information about the line & colliery’s Eastmidlands Freight —- Shirebrook—-Mansfield —- Nottinghamshire
I just thought it was would be a great edition to the game & if we can operate them & do some repairs bonus even if the repair is fictional at this stage but the tamper appears to be doing it’s job happy days,
Yes. I agree. Even if the Tamping operations didn’t work, it still accounts for going to site and doing Driver Training. At Lewes there used to be a Tamper sometimes parked in that old Bay Platform next to platform 1, or the Wall siding next to Platform 5. They also sometimes do driver training down to Seaford and Eastbourne from Lewes Platform 1 and then return to Brighton to go back towards Three Bridges.
Sounds interesting although I’m not familiar with that area,, I believe if memory serves correct Network rail has there own training line in there Derby depot & I pretty sure there’s a bigger one at Melton Mowbray There’s always Tampers at Chesterfield station as wall as track maintenance machinery seen some very cool vehicles there ,,, Godda be there at the right time to see the good stuff very late & very early
Its a shame all the coal industry ended in 2015 with thorsby colliery closing the robin hood line with high marham track up to thorsby colliery would be good
Personally I’m more interested in the routes at moment however.. I’m interested in Class 66 Class 68 Class 60 Class 59 Class 58 Class 55 Class 37 Class 20
Yeah it sure is a shame that all the Collierys closed ,, I definitely think our are would be a nice touch to the game with the open countryside & very little housing & the rivers & open fields as you head down towards Welbeck Colliery,,, And the Cliffs at Shirebrook that start at the signal box,,, Definitely a great are for passenger & freight services You know what they say if you like it someone else will like it if two people like it everyone will like it
Robin Hood line isn’t closed it’s still a very active line,, What line is the one that splits off at shirebrook signal box to the right & joins at the cabins at Warsop vale & runs up past Welbeck Colliery junction under peafield bridge & up towards clipstone Colliery.

Wish the freight jobs where longer there either small or there ain’t many of them & the freight don’t pass through other areas Wouldn’t it be better if all locations were joined & you could be able to see different passenger service on your journeys & know what area you was in Passenger services I feel there’s far too many of the same area route & there all the same with no variety or freight traffic & hardly any reds if any at all ,, wouldn’t it be better to see different trains at the bigger stations where some services terminate & If you’ve done one route you could simply just jump on a different train to next area..

We need mod hub same as giants have for farming simulator 19 so people can make & share there fleet of trains & wagons,, Ideally this would be under the same category as tools where the senario creator is & livery editor but would have its own title & section, Each item can have its own section DovetailGAMES
Hi Jack I found your information on the Robin Hood line route if you can add your information here that would be great so we can get as much information as possible in one place .. Class 56 load haul was running down to Welbeck Colliery before GBRF & Freightliner before GBRf Sometimes you would get a rare rail freight class 58 these were around the times the load haul was about a lot & then they suddenly vanished & EWS 66 was king of the line Freightliner was pretty quickly joined though.. Twin Ews class 37 where regularly up & down the mainline under Pea field bridge.. on Pea field road Warsop Class 37 mainline was also regular
