Personally, I don't really like how TSW is lit. I didn't like the "original" lighting (CSX HH, GWE, etc.), nor do I particularly like the "revised" lighting (Tees Valley, East Coastway, etc.). My main issue is that overall contrast is way too high due to excessive bloom. It's one of the most frequent criticisms of the game I hear. What's you opinion?
I think lighting could be much improved in TSW 2020, I’ll reserve judgement on TSW 2 until I see it in action.
Like any sim, graphics takes a backseat to functionality. As such I tend to judge sim graphics on a different scale. Yes, they could be better, but compared to other sim games they're a heck of a lot better than the alternatives.
