The key word is "representative". Certainly the forums represent a measurable portion of the players, but taken in isolation it would be heavily biased - which is proven out by the enhanced sample size present in the survey. The forum community is its own bubble and not an accurate barometer for the mood of players overall. Where its strength lies, beyond the depth of feedback, is in giving signposts for areas that need more investigation. A large amount of noise on a forum topic is often an indicator of a widespread problem, but sometimes it just isn't. It's a canary in the coalmine - you definitely want to pay attention to it, but not every squark is accurate.
I agree with that general approach for sure, as I also acknowledged here. The only trend I was pointing to as being generally present in the overall playerbase - and polls being reliable on this - was about certain countries being the most requested as new destinations.
Having bought the Luzern-Sursee route recently, it's really surprised me how much I've enjoyed it despite being just a short length and one loco. As a big fan of EMUs, the RABe 523 is really nice to drive, plus interesting to learn ETCS - and I think this FLIRT looks fantastic. As such, I'd really love to see more standard gauge Swiss content from Rivet, or even another third-party to expand the route network so we can have more of the 523 and plus new locos from the region.
This needs to be updated as Canadian National now owns KCS Mex... Kansan City Southern, Canadian National finalize railway merger (mexiconewsdaily.com)
That's a WAYYYY outdated article, the CN and KCS merger was denied, and now CP and KCS are merging instead (Or that's the plan) https://investors.kcsouthern.com/news-releases/2021/09-15-2021-134522975 https://www.reuters.com/business/ca...illion-offer-kansas-city-southern-2021-09-15/ https://www.cp-kcsmergereis.com/
I would like to see some Austrian Routes. There is nothing better than the Railjet or the standard OBB rolling stock. This would also open the possibility for the Taurus to get a sound update. Since it right now pretty much doesn't sound like the real thing at all.
