Possible Upcoming Update On Expert Db Br 101

Hello guys
Does anyone know if we will have a new update on Expert DB BR 101 in the near future? Thanks.

 

As far im aware, there were more fixes made but its currently up to dtg when they will release.

I'm hoping the expert trains/content keeps going. By far my most played loco and i keep coming back to it.

 

There is an upcoming patch for the BR101 Expert. It is waiting for QA so I can't say when exactly it will be released, but I can confirm that it exists and is not a hypothetical thing

 

I've also heard about a few mentioned new liveries. Wonder if they'll come too

Only if you really relish the challenge of the expert loco. You can turn expert mode off and use it for casual driving, but then it loses its added value.

even without expert (havent done that myself) you still have better model of 101, Steuerwagen and IC coaches that actually have well modelled brakes (so if you get Sifa Zwangsbremsung, good luck recovering )... that better model has better safety system functionality, much more realistic brakes and such... so still a great value... with Expert you get that whole machine room diagnostics stuff, PZB data entry... and then a whole bunch of stuff that you can do to get as close to the real thing as possible... without driving the real thing or becoming a self-flagellant like in ZUSI lol ))

 

Sure, and I agree with you. I just think that only the better model (and the Steuerwagen) doesn't justify all of the higher price. Only if you use it's full functionality. That's the reason I got it in sale myself (if only 20% off)

and this one gives you a nice insight just how super deep the simulation and level of attention run in this one... and believe me, the price could have been higher, considering the level of detail and care put into it... literally unprecedented in TSW

 

Absolutely. I love this thing. Now to find the time to really dive into it... With Zwolle-Groningen on the horizon, that won't be any time soon....

 

I really hope to have more services With this loc and more integration of it in new content dlcs

 

Sorry for late replying. I've heard of the patch since back in January and that's what makes it so tantalizing! Seems to me that DTG is not so serious about it as they are busy and have time introducing new DLCs that bring in new money while not implementing patches submitted to them months ago. It's near April now and really hope there will be some clues for updates on this excellent locomotive in DTG's April roadmap. Anyway, thank you sir for information you provide both now and in the past.

 

I agree. The Expert DB 101 worth the price. It brings the realism level to a new high unmatched by others. I would buy it even if it were more expensive. Actually I returned to TSW from ZUSI because of this one. Other locomotives in TSW or TSC made by DTG or other third parties are schlock and just lack the depth we see in other simulations, especially flight simulation. ZUSI is a great game but still not perfect. If the Expert DB 101 and ZUSI could be combined into one game, that would be unbeatable. By the way, ZUSI extends its route network and brings in new locomotives every once in a while in its major updates WITHOUT CHARGING EXTRA FEES!
