After installing both June updates, my TSW wouldn't start up and got stuck on the loading screen within the first third of the game. The problem recurred after every update and could only be fixed by reinstalling the game. Restarts and other fixes didn't work. I'd never had problems like this before! I'm slowly getting fed up with TSW's current quality standards. We're used to a lot, but enough is enough!
Is anyone else having this problem? It's not practical to have to reinstall the game after every update and then download nearly 600 GB.
I have posted in this thread. I am unsure if this depends on the platform/setup. It happens every time due to a fixed display issue, resulting in a train-person collision. I am playing on PC (Steam). Does this also occur on the PS or Xbox versions? Here is the link to the original post: West Coast Main Line: London Euston - Milton Keynes - Feedback
Yes this damned problem happened to me suddenly about one month ago. I tried everything: - Reinstalling TSW - Resetting Xbox completely - Loading without Internet - Deleting local save game during loading stuck screen (I never did such a thing at any game in the past) - loading TSW 5 before loading TSW 6 - deinstalled routes, I rarely use - contacted support, no help at all - bought a game pass for one month for trying to play via my tablet/ mobile phone Result is: The game is broken! The only thing I didn't try and won't try, is making a new DTG account. I am over Level 1000 and have some liveries, which I created for myself and this took my hours! Some few times, the game loads on Xbox. Some more times it loads via game pass. I didn't play TSW since 2 weeks, cause I am not at home. But I don't have any hopes, that This game will run again, normally!
Maybe to many add-ons installed, as not loading seems to happen only for people having a lot DLC installed. I believe I read somewhere about 80 DLC or more. As you have to download 600 GB, I guess you have installes a lot.
Even with under 400 GB, the game only loads about one of ten times! In my case I did not change or buy anything for weeks. After the Update from beginning of June, the game suddenly got crazy
I don't think the amount of GB is the issue, but the amount of installed routes. I do not have loading issues, never had, but I keep the amount of installed routes as low as possible to avoid issues and to keep some disk space for other stuff. I've most of the newer German and Austrian routes installed (only 1 pre TSW3), the Dutch route and at the moment just one UK. That's working fine, loading goes quick, but also with multiple UK installed besides the German ones, I had not issues at all.
