One of the things that really irks me is that an AI train always drives to the end of a marker where it set to do a stop. It looks really strange when short passenger trains stops at the end of a long platform, instead of in the middle. So this is my suggestion: Right next to the no stop checkbox there could be an option to stop in the middle of the platform marker. If left unchecked, the train behaves as default (meaning, driving to the end. If checked, then it stops in the middle of the marker.
I think that's a great idea, and even for the more advanced scenario makers, perhaps a "platform stop marker" for things like stopping precisely at the car number markers and such.
