I have bought a Rail Driver controller. Running Windows 8 64-bit. Have run the calibration program. Gameplay setting is 'expert'. Can NOT get the thing to work. Can anyone help??????? Jim
Once you've run the calibration program you then have to load the "listener program". Should be under PI engineering on your start bar
Can't find PI on the start bar or anywhere. Do you know what the program is called so I can search the entire disk for it?
Go to http://raildriver.com/support/TrainSimulator.php Download RailDriverTS2019 from that page Install it That's the listener program After that you should have PI engineering on your start bar and two desktop icons, one 32 bit and one 64 bit
Started from scratch again, uninstalled everything and went through :- Installed raildriver hardware thru USB ran program from above (2 icons on desktop, 32 and 64 bit) run 64 bit raildriver (checked and its running) ran calibration program run train sim thru steam no controls working, only keyboard ??? I must be doing something stupid
don't think you are... I just uninstalled, reinstalled, recalibrated etc found something which worked on mine... Start the RD listener program Down by the clock on windows desktop there's an up arrow, click this, find the RD listener program, right click it Select "Open raildriver for Train Simulator 2019" you should get a program like the below Once the above is loaded you can see if the raildriver is connected, the calibration file loaded, whether it can see the TSx program (please note this may be version dependent, so 32 bit for 32 bit etc) If all of that is OK and you're in a scenario or QD it should also so you the loco and the speed The digital display on the RD itself will also change from rd in lower case to 000 or the relevant speed If you still get nothing, open "options" on the RD program menu and select "Always active", this is what got it working on mine I'm now driving a class 37 in Scotland on the RD Hope this helps
Aha - may be getting somewhere. Attached screens show that the RD is connected, it's set to 'always active' BUT it says the listener program isn't running. But the Task Manager shows the RD 64 bit program IS running though!
OMG - I didn't realise that (what an idiot) - I presumed that if my pc was 64-bit that was that! I've tried the 32-bit RD listener and it works (Doh!). Thankyou so so much for your help and advice - you're a star! (I feel such a plonker!) Best Wishes Jim
