So I playing the rhht on pc and noticed it looks like when it first cam.out on tsw 3 before the update to make it look realistic with the spray DTG JD DTG Alex something to look into
Is it still not working? The spray broke with tsw3. Somehow it wasnt possible to higher the pressure.
They fixed it on tsw 3 as I remember it going much better and bigger spray. Just noticed it the other day and was like this needs to be investigated
Thought it was me doing something wrong with the setup, but is there no spray cloud simulated as there is in real life when it's going along?
This has been mentioned before. upon initial release it was disappointing… very quickly after, like within a week or so it was updated to be much better… then a few weeks later a new update for something completely different broke it (as if the new updated spray fFX code got overwritten by the original spray FX code, reverting the changes by accident) I do not think DTG are aware this has happened because it is so hard to report this stuff to the people that need to see it.
Just checked this and it is working as it should. Video below is how to set it up and I've included a stationary and in motion shot where the spray is less prominent (guess due to speed and tiny water cloud dissipating). All seems ok. Tested on MML Bit hard to see it in motion
Is there any evidence of this having looked different at some time? I think it's quite ok? (PC though) REAL / GAME

So then that got already broken in a TSW3 patch. I'll downgrade my TSW3 RHTT DLC to the date of that patch to check Ok, here's the data. The spray improvement happened in Oct 22, then in Jan 23 another patch came (which shows the same spray as in TSW4 now as my comparison shows.) ...done Can't promise anything but possibly can be brought back in a mod. We don't know why DTG reverted this, if it was causing issues I don't know. Edit: played with this version - it doesn't look anything like the above promo shots. Tried increasing pressure without effect. Maybe there are core changes involved here, not the DLC alone. And the visibility of the spray heavily depends on the angle you're viewing it and if light shines on it. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not. Up close, you don't see anything at all. I think it was too buggy so they reduced it. Case closed...
Any word from DTG at all on this? Would be nice to have it back to how it was, when it was first updated.
Little hint which makes this basicly very nice addon look very amateurish: The bogies of the kfa wagons are not turning at all. The bogieframe stays static with the wagon frame. Only the wheelset is going left and right which looks odd. And yes the waterjet pressure effect seems have gone. There is something coming out but not what it was at begin of the release. Beside that, a great dlc and good thing it took its way into tsw, which lacks of track infrastructure vehicles.
Here my thread with the bogies, which were not fixed i played last. NoGo for a railsim. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/rhtt-wagons-bogies-not-turning.60794/ There i made pictures that this is botched totally
Biggest problem I have with RHTT, is the stupid flashing tail light automatically placed on the FRONT of the train every time. It wouldn't be so bad if we could manually remove it. You look like a right spanner driving a train with a flashing tail light on the front all the time. DTG Matt DTG JD
Finally someone else has mentioned this - there's a fairly large amount of services I want to do, but the annoyance of having that damn tail light on the front is so overpowering to me, I just can't bring myself to complete them, because it annoys me too much. I really wish (and hope) more locos and units will get toggle-able tail lights in the near future.
Toggleable tail lights have been a feature in older DLC, probably dumped like adjustable seats (too much work and not sales-relevant).
Yeah it's a shame. The Pacer has toggle-able tail lights though, so it's not a fully dead feature.. it just means JT have to bring it back to life.
I don't suppose there is any news on the RHTT spray being returned to it's improved state? DTG Harry, any chance you could ask the team, please?
