Photo from the day out (without) Thomas at the Bo'ness and Kinniel Railway today. Unfortunately due to a high wildfire risk notice from the Scottish fire and rescue service we have not been allowed to run steam trains lately. So Thomas was sat in the bay platform and instead we had a class 26. Lovely weather though. Makes for nice photos.
LNER hosted their first 225 day today (22/05/25) in honour of the InterCity 225 sets (Class 91, DVT & Mk4 coaches) which have run up and down the ECML since 1989 but now only run to Leeds and York. 91106 received the nameplate 'Swallow - InterCity 225 since 1989' at a ceremony in Leeds and also has a swallow logo on the grill. https://x.com/LNER/status/1925463174859387114 https://x.com/MrTimDunn/status/1925486838765994462

Norfolk Southern unveiled their latest heritage unit, Delaware & Hudson #1080. https://www.trains.com/trn/news-rev...-off-new-delaware-hudson-heritage-locomotive/ Honestly, I think this one is my favorite out of NS' heritage fleet. The D&H lightning stripes are a good fit on the ACe body-style.
