In honour of the LMS Jubilee Class joining TSW2, I thought I'd show off the first time I saw one of these majestic locomotives in the wild. This is 5690 (or 45690 under BR) Leander at York on the 29/7/2008, pulling the Scarborough Spa Express. I am cheating a bit as this photo was taken by my Dad and not me (although I was present with him at the time), however in my defence I was only 7 at the time. I apologise for the relative low quality of the picture (he didn't have the greatest camera), but it still shows the loco's gorgeous LMS red livery, much better than what it wore under British Rail in my opinion.
Talgo 8 moving from US to Nigeria these were originally for the Hiawatha Route local paper Milwaukee and the reason why they were cancelled was former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker doing his campaign pledge
TrainSim-Matt Just wanted to share this video, there are some nice full recordings of German level crossings opening and closing in this video, this could be helpful to improve the level crossings for the next route (the timings can be taken from this video (they are too fast in game), and the way the barriers open and close as well as how the lights work (there is no alternate red blinking) are clearly shown multiple times) And I'll put it here for everyone else that might also be interested
Cumberland Yard, chock-full of CSX locos idled by COVID in 2020. Look closely, you can see one rusty Stripe, the livery included in the forthcoming gameplay pack
https://youtube.com/c/SteveAusOlchingEntertainment Check out this channel, especially if you have HMA. There is a lot to learn from these videos and is a perspective into real S-Bahn driving. The guy that makes the videos appears to be an S-Bahn driver in the Munich area, and the videos actually show what he's doing. For example: BR420 BR423 Man I'd love for this sort of footage to exist for the BR146 and 143
This is 395002 at St Pancras International on the 7/8/2021 (395022 was on the rear of this set). This was the first time I had travelled on or even seen a 395 in nearly a decade, TSW2 having renewed my interest in the SEHS routes. Up until the last couple of years, I had never really made much of an effort to trainspot in the South East as I didn't find the traction as interesting as other regions. This has changed in recent years, and TSW2 certainly played a part in that.
The former Ryde Pier team back in public use at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway seen hear on the last train out of Newport event 23rd January 2022. At the moment it's only a single car but it is planned to get it back to 2 cared once again
I stumbled across the official artist who creates all the DTG route promo art! His latest work is amazing! https://twitter.com/TomTheDoodler/status/1488122005786349571?t=SvnwzxsdM0a-yRVH11xlbg&s=19

Do we have this snow wind effect in tsw 2, like in this video, when the train is going 150 mph? If not i think they should add it
Now, if this had been omitted as a performance hit ( I’m speculating here) then what will happen with all the ever colour changing steam. I’m quite concerned how this will be replicated.
Some recent pics including an EMR Regional Class 156 at Peterborough and Lumo at Stevenage, plus Southern and Thameslink around Redhill and Crawley:
Phew finally found the right place to post and get this off my chest. (TPE really do have a great mixed fleet and some lovely livery’s to boot) Not the best photo but never seen one before. The Class 68. Pretty special standing next to while this beast was idling. Wasn’t the only one to nab a photo while passing through. Oh this was at York.
Oh yeah, Manchester Victoria was a frequent haunt for me while at uni, the 68s under the roof make an incredible racket, truly awesome machines.
I really wished I lived nearer to a busier railway. West Cornwall is scenic enough but long-haul GWR services are a pain with a kinda rubbish interior and little leg-room. I have fond memories of CrossCountry but haven’t gone on one in years. Anyhoo, enjoy this nice GWR photo I took a couple years ago.
Purple Steam train? Coming soon to the Severn Valley Railway https://www.instagram.com/p/CZyhFGHqREn/?utm_medium=copy_link what do people think?
Here's a similar photo I took of 68024 and 026 at York on the 30/9/2021. Unfortunately these two were just resting in the siding, but yeah they sound magnificent even when idling! Also York station at night is beautiful, I could spend hours there just soaking up the atmosphere.
The last survivors of the the AM2 Electric Units, the Class 302s were stalwarts of the electrified lines in East Anglia serving the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway, Great Eastern Main Line and the West Anglia Main Line as well as several branch lines. These units were originally four cars long with the class being numbered from 302201 to 312. Only two cars survive, both driving trailers numbered 75033 and 75250, which belonged to units 302201 and 302227. Both are painted in BR Blue livery and are preserved at Mangapps Railway Museum near Burnham-on-Crouch where they are used as hauled stock. I went to the museum at the end of September last year, whilst it's a small museum in the middle of a farm it's well worth a visit if you're ever in South Essex.
Something like this? Shinkansen cold weather operations would be interesting to replicate - hot water sprays, de-icing teams and blasting through the region that gets the most snow in the world at 320km/h

This is why King's Cross to Peterborough in the modern era is one of my all time most wanted routes for TSW2. The variety is amazing. Until a couple years ago it was even better. In 2018/2019 you had 91s, HSTs, 800s, 700s, 717s, 313s, 387s, 365s, and two flavours of Adelante ALL knocking about at the same time. The potential is amazing.
For the Class 387 it has quick acceleration on AC Power instead of DC Power and if you're a BML owner you can take Class 387/2 on ECML at 110 mph 180 kmh
Here's one from one of my most recent outings. This is 170517 at Worcester Foregate Street on the 17/2/2022. It's shown in East Midland's Railway's maroon livery but still currently working for WMR. This was my first time seeing it in person and I think it looks fantastic, hoping to see lots more when I'm able to have a trip to the East Midlands.
