Hi everyone, I’ve been playing Train Sim World since the very first release, and there’s one recurring issue I’d love to raise for consideration: the late evening release window. For players who work or have early commitments the following day, an evening release time significantly limits actual play time. The issue is especially noticeable on major release days—when the base game launches alongside a massive catalog of DLC that needs to be redownloaded. Between waiting for the release to go live, downloading the main game, and queuing up all existing add-ons, getting any meaningful playtime on day one becomes nearly impossible. A morning release or, ideally, an option to pre-load content ahead of time would make a huge difference for the community. It would allow players to jump straight in on launch day without spending the entire evening staring at download bars. Curious to hear if others in the community feel the same way.
Doesn't bother me. Having to wait a few hours doesn't make a lot of impact compared to the rest of my life. Still plenty of time to play.
At least in the case of Steam it is either that or launching while only the night shift staff is at Valve, meaning if there is any problem with the launch it will be much more difficult to sort.
I always thought valve had download servers across the globe, or used to i remember on steam yiu used to be able to select the download server to use, has it changed because I haven't checked for ages.
