    Hi Again

I am still hoping to find someone on here that has a good in depth knowledge of TSC. A person who can solve common error messages like "broken consist". "missing markers" and the likes. I have a fairly good knowledge of how to use things like "RW Tools" and "Loco Swap",. but have difficulty with anything more in depth.

If you have a little spare time, and feel you could help me,. please please get in touch.

I dont need constant help. Just on the odd occasion that things go wrong.

    Thanks in advance !

    Derek

It might be easier to just post a given problem when you come across it.

Some people know things about the game but I doubt there is somebody who knows everything.

Some of the folks over at Railworks America are very knowledgeable and more than willing to help whenever you need it also.

Thanks so far to Rodney and 749006 for their suggestions.
In all honestly I would prefer someone in the UK that I could chat to on the phone whenever I needed their help. To try and type the details of whatever issue crops up, would be difficult. Its easier to explain.

Any other takers please guys ???

    Derek

Using Google or something similar gives you results for whatever you want to know.

    Hi Derek,

You have to see it from the point of view of others, too.

I myself would not offer help by telephone simply because my life can be busy and I don't like being interrupted by telephone calls. Even when relaxing, driving imaginary trains, I would rather not be interrupted. Whilst I am happy to help people where I can, doing it in written form (such as through a forum) allows me to research my answer and indeed test thngs out sometimes to make sure I am giving the correct answer.

Another benefit from asking on a forum is that others can learn through a given response too - a forum like this becomes an encyclopedia of information which is always on tap. And the question only needs to be asked and answered once.

So yes, it will indeed take time to type up your question but in the long term it helps everybody, including the person that is helping you.

    With best regards,

    John

Also in this day and age I would be very wary about agreeing to sharing telephone numbers or talking to complete strangers from an internet forum, even if they are bona fide. We actually took our BT phone out, partly because it never worked that well after the fast fibre update (will take it off the BT contract when next due renewal) and because 99% of the calls we did get on it were junk. BT also wanted 20p a minute for outgoing calls, when I have more than enough free air time on my mobile to cover my monthly needs. Even then, I don’t go dishing my mobile number out to complete strangers.
