[resolved] Br442 Talent 2 Broken

I noticed this issue is still present and I'm on PC (Steam). The pantograph appears to be missing when heading from Aachen to Koln and I cannot engage the BR 442 Talent 2. I submitted one support ticket bug report, but I thought it would be good to post here too since others searching for the issue will likely find this thread too. I also found some other threads about it dating back to 2021. It would be wonderful to see it fixed! Best Regards.

 

They just released the german portion of the summer core update and this wasn't addressed?

and on Dresden Riesa 442 still gets old pts for stuff even if it should receive more pts towards platinum if you have safety stuff turned on

 

I think on the roadmap stream DTG Matt mentioned it would be in the update. Is there an update on this fix for us please Matt? Thank you

We never got the update sent to TSW2 / PlayStation 4 edition.
Probably unsurprising (TSW4 was the current game at the time of typing this) and as I am attempting to get all gold timetable results on the 7 routes I have for the second game (currently 1331 hours played) I am not currently interested in upgrading.
But all is not lost.
The method the other commentors above have suggested worked.
Spawning into Auchan station a few minutes before the train service is about to start and take control (begin service) starts the train up in the correct configuration, allowing you to carry out the service.
As for the gold medal,
On completion of one of these runs, your AP add up in the "how did you do?" summary screen as normal but no medal award will appear? Looks to be a strange coding anomaly as a result of joining the event from free roam. Luckily, the medal is still awarded for the event which you can confirm if you go back into the Talent 2 / Auchan to Koln timetable list (after train selection) and go the the run you just did.

Its a little bit of effort but this method does allow the Talent 2 / Auchan --> Koln in the New Journeys expansion pack to be completed with this bug not patched.
