At full speed for me they are almost inaudible. I'm using headphones so maybe the levels are different.
Tried again last night and it was weird. I did a scenario, I think it was the first on on the list, and the very loud engine noise stopped at one point - almost to the point it sounded like the train was stopped - and I could hear the announcements really well. Then the engine noise kicked in again and it totally overpowered the announcements again. This hasn't happened on any of the timetable runs I've done.
TSW really snuggles with multiple sounds at once, I think it only has 16 channels? There is likely going to be an element of randomness to what sound gets through and what doesn’t.
How's the signalling on the route? Did they implement approach control? Maybe not much of that needed on this strech I guess.
No approach control that I know of. Don't have the route so can't test but based on youtube videos, it doesn't seem to be implemented
You are probably right. They haven’t put any whistle boards in the WCL route either but plenty of trees. Haha
I may have missed it elsewhere. But is there a way to turn on headlights or do they do it automatically. I'm doing the Glas go scenario and my headlights haven't switched on
On the right hand side next to the phone there’s a headlight settings. It is very mixed sometimes they’re on full, dimmed or not at all
According to the link below, it's only 8. https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.26/en-US/WorkingWithMedia/Audio/Overview/
Has anyone on consoles figured out how to get the black & white camera that was shown in the preview stream?
I don't have the route, but if its switchable hold down R3 and press d-pad right to cycle external views, hold R3 and press d-pad left to cycle interior views
The enhancement pack has been released. https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...1-edinburgh-to-glasgow-route-enhancement-pack
Bit of a bump to this thread, but just thought I’d comment at how much I’m still enjoying this route, it really is spectacular and thankfully that’s due to the 385 sound mod and enhancement pack, so credit where it’s due to the creators of those! I don’t want this route to be forgotten by the community or by Rivet! We need that update! Scenery wise, Rivet have got this spot on, it feels like Scotland, travelling through the Scottish Lowlands and the rolling hills, especially around Falkirk/Croy, that’s an area of the route I love. But then you’ve got the approach into Glasgow which is one of my favourite areas. The Class 385 model is superb even if the sounds are well unfortunate shall we say, thankfully the mod fixes this! As I’ve mentioned (again and again and again) the timetable is biggest let down for me, there’s too many service missing, Glasgow to Alloa is non existent after 2100 as well as Glasgow/Edinburgh and vice versa services after 2200. Edinburgh Park doesn’t see any use! Hopefully Rivet’s update addresses the dispatch on a red and the AI timings which bug me to no end, and their list of fixes is quite extensive. If Rivet get all that done and done right, it will be a benchmark for one of the best UK routes. Unfortunately, for the UK Birmingham Cross City was a tough act to follow and this is what I’ve spoke about consistency, a lot of new features were simply lost in Glasgow/Edinburgh. I leave you with some pictures, which I think do the route justice! I really want Rivet to get this right, as I feel they’ve been unfairly (at times) criticised although there are some glaring own goals as mentioned above.
Same with me. I'm waiting to see if Rivet's fix work before I purchase it. Question is how long will it be until they release the fix?
I am too waiting for the fixes. There are a couple of new releases coming so it may be vying with them.
