5A72 part 2: Laira Depot to Plymouth.

There is a glitch with the stopping point at Plymouth, You're driving a 9 car set and the game wants you to stop before you even get to the 5 car stop board. If you do that over half your train is hanging off the end of the platform, blocking the mainline towards Exeter.

Carry on to the 10 car stop board instead and your train is fully in the Platform.

Very pleased to hear on-board train announcements for the HST’s.

So I loaded up 5T04 Exeter Depot to Exeter and this was the 166 the game loaded up for me.

Oh and those 150s? Both 150261

    Class 802 Mode Switching Feedback:
Hello everyone, I'm a player from China. I was driving in the training center's free sandbox mode, using the Class 802/011 EMU and use it as an example: At the start of the game, I placed the train on the track. I first boarded cab of 831011 and activated the train in electric mode by default. When I stopped driving in that cab and went to cab of 835011 at the other end, I reactivated the electric mode. Then, following the steps, I switched to diesel mode, but the train could no longer run properly. The sound was half the normal diesel sound. Returning to cab of 831011 and using diesel mode again didn't work. Previously, on the Class 801 EMU, this mode was set to be very easy to switch. I really don't understand why DTG, for such a crucial feature of this train, could have so many bugs. Therefore, I urge other players to try switching power modes between the two cabs multiple times (because I believe this is not uncommon in reality but rather a normal and usual operation) to confirm if this is the same issue of my experiencing.

    Platform: PC
How often does this issue occur? Every time.

The route is suffering quite badly with blurry textures since the release of the GWR Remaster and the train updates that came alongside the remaster.

Never experienced the issue with Riveira route before this.

I had this earlier. Only ever had one brief incident of blurry textures prior to the update (in a snow storm) but got a few miles east of Plymouth today in the HST and it went incredibly blurry.

Very frustrating given how well Riviera ran previously, think I’ll just disable the HST layers for now.

2T24 with the 150 (on journey mode at least) is broken at Teignmouth with DM208 at danger. Upon further inspection, the next block contained a light 66 and a Voyager occupying the same section, holding at the next red (E78). I deleted both, but couldn't get past E78 at danger because of an "Off Path" error

Spawned on foot at Totnes, 10 am. Very soon ended with an AI spad, presumably.
Four major issues in as many days... What the @#*#£&@# is going on!?!?

I used to be able to gently enjoy this game, by and large. :(

Personally I’m not sold on the idea that DTG pay attention to these feedback threads after a certain amount of time, but in any case here goes.

The sound distortion on the 150 is horrific on PS5. I suddenly remembered why I dropped this unit after that update which changed the sounds. It’s bloody awful under 40mph & barely tolerable upto 75.

Of course it now also takes hold on the TfW 150.

What, you mean like a day!?

But yeah, you are right. We are whistling in the wind still posting stuff in these threads. I do it anyway though, mostly as a chance to vent my annoyances rather than because I think something will be done.

Sadly I think the feedback threads exist purely as an echo chamber, these days. Apart from Candace from the agency, it is rare to non existent to see any of the full time DTG employed CM’s in here acknowledging issues or even providing information from DTG’s POV as to whether reported issues are regarded as faults/bugs and updates on progress to a resolution. Sorry to say this again, but I just get the vibe they are so fixated on Sodor and Metro Rivals that TSW barely registers on the radar.

WRT the 150 sounds I still don’t understand why they can’t alias to the 153. Far closer than the weird mix that Rivet and DTG just can’t get right on any of the variants. Worst of all though is the flange squeal. It sounds like a sword fight from one of those old Highlander movies. (There can be only One…).

Yeah I’m sat here remembering the 187 still exists, so I guess what we have is what we’re stuck with.

I can only imagine how good some of the content would be if DTG would stand by it for more than a couple of months.

I've noticed this week on a couple of runs that TSRs have got advanced warning boards in the 6ft after I've passed the ESR as though trains are going to be running in the wrong direction on my line. (And they haven't been on the Bi-Directional sections).

Wasn't this mentioned as being fixed a few updates ago?

Biggest, most glaring thing for me to be fixed is the incorrect 60 mph on the up on the curve into Dawlish Warren. Apart from that, it’s still one of my if not my favourite DLC.

It should be 70 mph round the curve, I think it’s something to do with it being bi-directionally 60 mph the other way.

Class 802 is a broken POS.

Silent AWS alarm (unless it for some reason came from the left headphone which I didn't have over my actual ear, but still...). Not even resetting physics then allowed the thing to take power...

Thank god I'd only just reached the junction at Newton Abbot after starting from Paignton...

AWS on the 802 is fine for me.

Using headphones I've noticed that certain sounds play through certain sides.

I think there's some sort of setting to change it to both. Don't quote me on that though.

HST service 2U10 PZ-CARDIFF.. got hit with a temp speed limit with no warning at 60mph…the speed in the HUD just lit up red. :-(
HST service 2C09 BRIs-PZ has a temp speed limit but it’s posted. There’s usually a temp limit on this route for me.

I did 2U10 again and got another Temp speed limit but this time it showed up.

However a number of signals are not showing on the track monitor.

If you are between Newton Abbot and Plymouth or vv some of the signals are distants for the home signals which replaced the old manual signalboxes, so they won’t show on the monitor but should still be observed to determine the state of the signal ahead.

    It should be 70mph.

It's 60 if you're running "wrong line" between Dawlish Warren and Teignmouth

OldVern marcsharp2 Thx guys.. BTW as that looks like an incab photo Marc are you a train driver on this route? If so, just for interest, how long does it take to learn a route in enough detail before you’re allowed to ‘go solo’?
Theres a guy who goes in my pub who drives that line I think but I’d feel a bit of a womble asking him.. LOL.

I wish I was a driver. I found it on this cabride video on YouTube, taken from the cab of a Western.
