Hello everyone and to the Dovetail Games team, I would like to suggest a fantastic German route for Train Sim World: the scenic and diverse line from Munich Central Station (München Hbf) via Landshut and Plattling to Passau Central Station (Passau Hbf). This route would be an absolute highlight for the game, as it perfectly combines dense urban traffic, high-speed sections, and the beautiful Bavarian landscape along the Isar and Danube rivers. With a total length of approximately 120–130 km, it fits ideally within the capabilities of TSW.Important Stations and Route Layout:München Hbf: The imposing, iconic starting point with high traffic volumes.Freising: An important transport hub where the Munich S-Bahn (S1) meets regional traffic.Landshut (Bay) Hbf: A major historical and actively operating station along the route.Landau (Isar): An important stop for the RE3, following the Isar Valley.Plattling: A massive railway junction! This station is of great importance, as lines to Regensburg, Deggendorf/Bayerisch Eisenstein (Waldbahn), and Passau branch off here. It offers excellent potential for future route extensions and freight yards.Osterhofen & Vilshofen: Beautiful intermediate stations along the Danube.Passau Hbf: The historic border station of the "Three Rivers City", ideal for concluding the journey. Why This Route Would Be Fantastic:1. Diverse Connections and Gameplay Opportunities:Regional Express (RE3 / Donau-Isar-Express): Ideal for commuter trains with frequent stops, utilizing the modern Siemens Desiro HC (BR 463) or BR 146/147 with double-decker cars (Dostos).High-Speed Long-Distance Traffic: Perfect for ICE trains (such as the tilting ICE T or ICE 4) rushing from Munich toward the Austrian border.Freight Traffic: Since Plattling is a major transport hub, this route represents an important connection for international freight trains between Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe.2. Station Layering & Network Utilization:Excellent opportunities to utilize the track network at Munich Hbf for layering the S-Bahn (BR 423), the BR 628, and other German trains, as well as potential Austrian (ÖBB) traffic at Passau Hbf.This route offers the perfect mix of high-speed passenger operations, precise regional timetables, and heavy freight traffic. I am confident the community would be thrilled to see this Bavarian mainline in Train Sim World! What do you all think? Let me know your thoughts!
