Already found one impossible service. Cannot get it to recognise that I have followed the uncouple instruction after cutting the first three rakes together, as a result even though I get a marker for where to stop next, it tells me I need to uncouple permanently, and the lights remain red if I go there to couple to the next set.

    PS5 Pro

I don't have MSB + DB155(Falns) + DRA + FTF installed ..... I still have quite a few layers active and for now I have to say that my textures are not blurring ...... I don't know if what was mentioned in the Roadmap about reducing second or third textures is already applied, but if most maps worked like this, I would definitely be much happier

Of course I will probably test where it goes

For some reason the BR 642 does not appear in the train selection menu

3 is the correct amount, the remaster didn't come with an extra timetable.

They're testing this on SEH to start with, but I don't think it's already released for this route. MSB is an original layer from the start and has a lot of services. I have a lot of blurry textures on Xbox with the remaster and revamped timetable. I do not own Maintalbahn, Kinzigtalbahn is not installed, so no BR642, ICE-T and Flixtrain, but still a blurry mess.

Issue # 1 - Light sources visible where they shouldn't.
    Attack of the aliens...
    koln.jpg

    P1.jpg
Some of these light sources really get in your line of sight. I went for a foggy first run and saw this immediately after departing from Köln. I was basking under a weird light out of nowhere so I looked up and saw this. One of them is right on the track. I know this is editor magic, but you're not supposed to see behind the lines...
    Location: Köln Hansaring Platform

    Issue # 2 - Timetable displays
Timetable displays positioned too close to track and clipping with my Talent 2 at Köln Ehrenfeld Platform 4.
    P4.jpg
Look, I know this is just a minor complaint, but these remain bugged ever since the release.

    Issue # 3 - Flickering windshield reflections ICE 3M

    Right on the money!

DTG I see what you guys are trying to do here but sadly this windshield bug dance is insanely aggravating. The volume of the flickering mess seems to be tied, or is much more present specifically to Köln - Aachen route.

    HC.jpg
Here is another example taken from Frankfurt - Fulda. No flickering here, working as it should. Something is wrong with Köln - Aachen. w1.jpg

The windshield was always an issue that never got fixed and now the TOD4 lighting seems to have made it much more noticible/worse. This train is currently not usable as long as this issue is not fixed

This has been the case since the new timetable was released. Should really have been addressed by now!
Whilst this remaster may not be in the same league as GWE:R, I am really glad to have the TODv4 update as I can finally enjoy Joe's busy timetable. New timetables must be complimented with a TODv4 update on the older routes in my opinion as the newer trains' headlights are much too bright on the old routes and so the new timetable doesn't get played.

If they are testing it on SEH, I don't know if that is the right map to evaluate the state of things ... from my experience, the biggest problems are on German maps, where Dostos is in operation ...

What I don't understand. There was work done on the BR 406 (ICE3M) but the biggest issue, especially with TOD4 lighting. The windshield bug was not fixed? Why?

The reason for this is the fact a 3rd party is making a new southeastern route. They seem to be very good at optimizing and their new route is close/connecting to SEH. So they're helping out DTG and this was the route of choise. This all is mentioned in the last roadmap stream.

I only have two, which DLC adds the third? I am assuming one of the New Journeys DLCs from back in the day?

Ah yes, I see the new timetable also has 423 layers. Might consider picking it up sometime in a sale, thanks.

Personally I like driving the 423 on SKA, quit a long S-bahn track. Luckily the the new journey dlc is not expensive.

    TOD seems a bit off.
I actually found a few more BR 140 runs in the original timetable. Selected DB83136 which starts at 1915, set the month to April and launched in pitch black. At the worst it should have given a twilight start.

In addition some wonky speed limits. Where the train starts from shown as 161km/h, dropping to 100 km/h. However once clear of that the HUD is then showing the maximum line speed rather than the top loco or train speed, no more than 110 km/h.

Showing the line speed instead of the max train speed on the hud, is common on older routes. But for the "remaster" they didn't change any of those features of newer routes. Is the max speed on GWE remaster changed to train speed instead of line speed?

I will have to check that but I suspect not. As you say a feature of newer routes.

Well it gave me a chance to get the 140 up to 130 km/h, where it seemed to top out!

I think it's a feature since TSW3, Kassel Wurzburg does have train speed instead of line speed. At least you will less speed with deduction of points, on those older routes

I ran a sunrise route this time, S19 from Düren to Köln leaving at around 7:00, with default dynamic weather and day (today, February 13th). Was much better than my previous sunset run. Very pretty. However, the Zs3 and Zs3v are still way too dark, even in the day (screenshot 1). Compare to Stuttgart-Heilbronn (screenshot 2). I don't mind irregularities like the color of the lights or whatever, but the speed signals need to be brighter. As I said before, this is unplayable at night when running with minimal or no HUD.

Screenshots 3 and 4 are just some nice morning lighting on a passing cargo train and nice vegetation (and a dark Zs3), then skyline approaching Köln. Looks quite good at this time of day - much more in the direction I was hoping for from this remaster.

Again, I'm playing on like a 10 year old GTX 970 at 1080p, and I don't remind the short draw distance or drops to 10fps, but at some point you still need to be able to see the signals and signs.

That's actually not true of the SKA overhaul. Running freight the HUD gave me a 100 kp/h limit. And IIRC when I did a 166 run on the new GWE the HUD read 90, not 125 like it used to.

    Hi,

I just have to say "wow"!! The route runs good on Xbox X. I did a run with the 101 Expert and the 111, I have all German Addons and all layers on. No crash, a bit blurry textures but at the end the textures got normal again!
And the game did not crash when going back to main menu.

What ever you did DTG, keep doing this!!

The only thing annoying me so far is that you have to stop 'behind' the rainbow stop markers.
Anywhere before 5-6m isn't close enough

so besides minor things and reworking of ICE left screen menus, what is exactly the remaster here? like, how do i know the update rolled out ok for me? there are still three timetables, and lets say with original 101, the LZB bug still persists

it would be nice if the remastered routes were also marked as such in-game... I mean, on GWE I can obviously tell it is a new thing cos there is 802 there, but here it is hard to tell unless you play ICE3 which has reworked menus on the left screen (I believe previously you had AFB menu separately, there you pressed the unlimited thing there and set the limit by the lever then, now it is different)

I see original, new journeys and revamped

    1) Approaching Koln there are lightsources in the air with model to sup[port them , they are invisible with 0% fog, but with 1% they are obvious and immersion braking.
    2) All horizontal lights on platforms appears to be placed to low, when you to close to them they are out of place and blinding bright

my platform is Steam Proton (PC Linux)

Just checked this on GWE remaster with the class 165, you get the actual train limits on the hud. Can't check it on SKA, as I already deleted this route from TSW6. But it looks like the speed with the BR140 is buggy or it's a general bug for this route.

probably not for every train - I did a run with class 52 which runs at 90 mph (give or take maybe even 95 at most), but the HUD still showed 100/110/125 whatever was the max track speed

Is it possible it only works correct for trains included in the route or trains from TSW3 or newer? I don't know from what route the Class 52 is, I'm not that familiar with all the UK routes.

The Class 52 is a very old loco; originally in red as a DLC for West Somerset, then repainted blue but otherwise unchanged and included in the Diesel Legends pack.

Finally got a chance to play it this morning, and due to some Steam weirdness, i got to see the difference in the TOD4 lighting quite starkly.

I booted up TSW6, assuming it had been updated (i have auto updates on), launched into an RE1 dosto service from Koln-Aachen starting at 12:13 and it looked just terrible tbh (huge inky shadows on buildings in Koln even at midday, etc). I drove as far as the first stop and decided something had to be wrong.

Checked the files and realized i was on build 745 dated 2/6/26, after verifying it triggered an update which brought me to build 749 dated 2/13.

Loaded up the exact same service and it was literally night and day- it's so much better now! Had a great run to Aachen, with loads of AI traffic, even got a TSR (with proper PZB activation).

Also just now realized there are a few Expert 101 IC services for the enhanced timetable, which is where i'm headed next.

Anyway, great job on the new lighting and timetable (which i never played cause of the old lighting).

I did see some funky-looking vegetation occasionally but otherwise it looked and ran pretty good imo. Still hope suspension for the route's included trainsets and announcements can get added down the road someday.

Why would I have layered content/locomotives showing for the original timetable, but not on the new one labeled "revamp"? I have 2 or 3 locomotives not showing up on the available trains list. It doesn't show the MRCE BR 185.5 from RRO or the 193 Vectron from Frankfurt-Fulda. I'm on PS4 if that matters.
