    The more I play this route the more stuff I find wrong with it.

    How are you able to drive the Vectron? It doesn't even show up for me in the menu.

    I only have the 185.2 available to drive freight, plus a few 294 services. I was under the impression the Expert 145 would be available too for the freight runs.

    I also have the Expert 101 available to drive, but not the Expert 286.1- is that right?

    I'm showing 18/18 layers active and as far as I know I own all the German routes. Total of 357 services playable.

    Can anybody playing on Steam confirm if this is right? I have no mods installed.

    I've run one ICE3 service so far, and the upgraded 403 is quite nice. Performance was good, even on the first run.

    Edit: no announcements played on the 403 for the entire run. I think it was the 0558 run to Ingolstadt

    As far as I know, yes, but that's why I was asking how many layers/services there are supposed to be.

    Oof
    Didn't they say, they didn't want to improve / fix the default 101 because it might "devalue" the old DLC?
    So they'd rather have this stuff happen in a new route than a "devalued originial 101" - let that sink in. xD

    I don't know exactly what you mean, but it seems to me that the BR101 used as part of this map probably copies the original old BR 101 fairly accurately, including its errors, current as of 2026.:D:(
    just got a different dirty texture

    On PC Steam

    Haven’t had time to really look at everything in detail, however, want to give a first feedback already.

    Overall impression is quite good. As others have said, especially the foliage, for me, really represents the feeling of the landscape in that area, something I had already noticed in the video Pilot21 had released at the time it was still a personal project of him. But it’s not only the foliage along the route, also the stations, tunnels and general infrastructure shows a nice representation of the real world.

    I also like the A9 representation, the road has lines and signs that are really close to reality. However, I think I have never seen the real live counterpart as empty as this one. Especially the lack of lorries is noticeable, as they are usually the vehicles to notice first from the train. I would wish the devs would be able to populate this a little bit more (probably not due to performance?!). Tbh, I don’t even know, is there a decent 40t lorry as an asset in the game?

    On the bug side, I am not repeating everything that has already been mentioned anywhere else (that I have seen), apart from one thing that would be a priority for me personally: Please make the RE1 services „dispatch beyond“ at stations. It is so utterly unrealistic to have the doors closed first until the dispatcher allows you to proceed and sets the signal only then! This is something that (luckily) has disappeared over the years on most DTG timetables, however, pops up here and there again. The way it is set up at the moment I can not simulate a realistic scenario, as the doors are irl only allowed to be closed AFTER the signaller has set the exit signal to green.

    I have also noticed a couple of missing „Hektometer Tafeln“ (mileage signs) over a stretch of the route in a tunnel. Can’t remember which one it was though (happy to report the exact location if wanted, pls let me know).

    Thats it for the time being. I am away from the game for at least a week:,-( hence no more input from my side until later.

    Prior to the Munich route, destinations where fixed per train. So it's not weird, the 442 from SKA don't have destinations from this route. It clearly hasn't been updated with the remaster too. The SKA remaster was a poor job anyway, so I'm not surprised about the bright lights.

    Scenery: Nurnberg, km 99,0

    at the entrance to the Nürnberg station, the underpass is all black, no textures are visible and it looks like a bordered whole tile
    it's at kilometer 99.0

    I did the service Munchen Express from Ingolstadt to Nürnberg and Ingolstadt Nord and Kinding again, there was a problem with passengers falling under the train onto the tracks....I really don't want to see people end up under the train wheels

    (As if there weren't enough cows on the Mittenwaldbahn, two more ran into me last week)

    Whether core or route builder fault, that is disgraceful and should not be on sale with that happening...

    I've never noticed people falling under a train while getting on or off before.

    This logo on the pictogram is probably not correct, right? Shouldn't there be a 2 as a class designation?

    I had another crash to desktop while driving the ICE-T at speed (~ 225 kph), so to be fair to Corin and TSG...
    I removed the following parameters...

    r.ViewDistanceScale=2
    foliage.LODDistanceScale=2
    r.StaticMeshLODDistanceScale=0.5
    r.Shadow.DistanceScale=2

    ...entirely from my engine.ini file, and re ran some tests.

    Happy to inform that, not only did I manage a full speed run up the entire route with the ICE-T , but also with the ICE-3 at 340 kph. No crash to desktop on either run, in fact my GPU didn't even jump from its base clock of 1200 Mhz (using nvidia utility "PresentMon" to verify this). The only downside, was the more obvious pop-in of tree shadows, and I could see the brown trackside grass being "rendered in" in front of me from the drivers cab (maybe 250 metres ahead).

    So from my perspective, I'm happy I can run this route ok. However, I firmly believe you could thin out the foliage (some trees, some bushes, some grass) by 10 to 15% in the less obvious areas, and the overall look and feel of the route would be no different to the player.

    Just my opinion :)

    When driving the 185 through the tunnel towards Feucht station, I noticed the cab didn't get dark inside, and a little later noticed that near this tunnel there were also some strange lighting errors on the outside...
    IMG_2026.08.16-18.05.20.jpg
    Red arrows indicate shading effects going on where they shouldn't be. Also odd shading effects happen above the north end.
    Yellow arrow a hole in the terrain.

    IMG_2026.08.16-17.53.24.jpg
    Yellow arrows indicate odd shading effects going on here also. This the line from Feucht to Nurnberg just near that tunnel.
    Red arrow shows 185's lights set to "headlights bright", but they are tail lights.

    Floating foliage:
    The floating grass tufts that were mentioned earlier, prompted me to check how bad the situation was (since I was close by the start point). So to help you out somewhat I've documented what I had time for...

    Heading South on RIGHT hand side of tracks: Situation, mostly the odd 1 or 2 tufts floating at Kilometre points...
    12.15 12.25 12.45 12.65 13.9 14.0 14.25 14.55 16.2 16.85 17.45 18.55 19.75 20.15 22.7 and 23.9

    Heading South on LEFT hand side of tracks: Situation very different, from Km marker 12.0 to Km marker 25.0 it varies from the odd 1 or 2 tufts to literally a group of at least 25 floating 2 metres above the ground. I lost count in the end but here are some Kilometre points that I did have time to note down...
    12.2 + 12.25 + 12.4 (on gantry poles) 13.4 (lots on fence sideways) 16.6 (large group mentioned above) 17.45 (on bridge pier)
    17.8 (group of 6) and 18.4

    I understand this is Corins first route, stemming from a personal project, so I didn't mind paying full price (I really want to support upcoming young devs). I had kind of hoped in that being a TSG branded product it might have landed in a slightly better state. But, I will say this, in that once this route gets the problems sorted I'm going to really enjoy it. Plus I've needed a reason to buy that Expert 101 & Cab Car pack and this route fits the bill nicely. :)
