Excellent route choice! Definately looking forward to this. To all that are worried that it is too much of the same, check out a cab ride video and think again. I would definately think it certainly has a different vibe to most other stuff we got, so far:
4K | Führerstandsmitfahrt auf der RE42 von Münster (Westf) Hbf nach Mönchengladbach Hbf [Teil 2] (section we are getting in TSW starts at approx 30mins in).
    Führerstandsmitfahrt (Cabview) | RB33 | Aachen - Essen | BR 425 (start at 47mins to 1h 44mins)

Sure, would be nice to get some new rolling stock, however, even though the people involved are experienced, I am assuming its still a small team. As it seems to be a passion project I am sure this will be totally worth it even without comepletely new rolling stock.

Still NOTHING on blurry textures. Even if it’s not in this fix, at least have the common decency to let us know the state of play because it is a major, major problem. I’m not buying any of this stuff until it is fixed and I hope others vote with their wallets too.

Fair point but that's about the only thing that isn't 3P. (So far, of course).

Did the survey before looking into and was surprised about the "leak" of Rhein-Niers-Bahn
Interested in the route but hope for a not yet announced rolling stock for it.
From Folezz youtube I had seen the development of the Düsseldorf-Köln route, so was a bit disapointing to see "only" Duisburg-Mönchengladbach, but may the "smaller" route is a good project for a first official attempt. Really looking forward to whats coming up

I’ve held off buying Birmingham to Crewe. Shame because I really want the route and I want to support a new route developer but I’m not spending my very hard earned cash on a broken product.

I’m exactly the same. I’m holding out for Preston - Crewe. More up my street. If Brum to Crewe is ever fixed I might think about it.

Really looking forward to the reveals of the other five new routes will be. If it’s anything like today’s two reveals we are in for a treat.

Also interested to learn that there are four Add-on Updates to be revealed making it sound promising. We will all know what they are in a fortnight, can’t wait.

    Please clarify one question:
    The announced route updates
    - are updated information and a new set of screenshots for previously announced routes, as was the case with Tadami Line or Great Western.
    - are these announcements of remasters or updates to old routes?

The four Add-on Updates to be revealed l would assume are either like yesterdays third item on Tadami, if so it’s other updates on products coming in 2026 or maybe release dates for this month of the items in the 0-3 month section of the November roadmap, which l hope it is! I would love to have Preston to Crewe to play over Christmas, but very much doubt that will be the case!!!

Was very tempted to put Deltic but went for class 60 in the end - we could really do with a new freight diesel that could cover the whole of the UK back to the start of the 1990's up to the present day. Lots of livery options too.

It's good to see a new developer getting involved in German DLC, it would be nice to see a new train included but it is their first route.

The HIS route looks interesting, although it would be nice to get a USA freight route in a greener part of the country.

I do hope the Kiha sounds aren't final if they are incorrect, the route looks lovely though.

Not sure what to make of the Kiha sounds, not really audible enough over the accompanying music. The horn sounded Japanese but we will probably have wait for a proper stream to see if they have used existing Sprinter sounds instead of authentic recordings.

OK, watching the cab ride mellowed my opinion about the route a bit. Looks more interesting than I thought, thanks for sharing :)
If it doesn't turn out to be a bug festival upon release, I might give it a shot after all!

I don't necessarily need new rolling stock with every new route, if the route makes good use of already existing stuff and implements it well. Building a new route and building a new loco are two very different beasts to take on, and a small team might not have the capacity and/or expertise to do both.

Really hoping that the new 140 will see many uses on this one, looks like a perfect fit :D

I used to be a day 1 purchaser. I now have 14 items on my wishlist just waiting until the blurry textures (amongst other bugs) are fixed. That's probably £200 they've not got off me yet. I'm sure I'm not the only one like this.
Wishing I hadn't given in and got the Welsh 142 too early.

And now with Simrail and ETS coming to PlayStation that money will likely go elsewhere.

Unfournatly that doent even seem to be a viable option at the moment.. Brum-Crewe proved that!

I think the most valuable thing DTG can do right now is stop all development on DLCs... produce some SOPs for all 3rd party devs to follow.. maybe get some feedback from the JT team as they seem to be able to produce quality DLC on delivery.. and make sure that ALL DLC at least meets some basic standards on day 1

I also think DTG delaying stuff so long doesn't help... (i know ive just said to delay stuff) but when the devs made B2C and handed it off in June.. was that product made for TSW5? Was quickly rushing tsw6 features what caused the issues?
    We will never know!

Stop all development on what makes them money?
Not sure they or the player base will appreciate that.

Imagine you're not great at your job so the solution is... just stay home and don't do any work (or get paid.)
    That'll solve it! =-)

I'd presume they already have rules for third party creators. We know they have set contracts, deadlines and such.
Whether they have been enforcing those standards or there's any punishment for third parties who fail.... that remains to be seen.

We'll see what comes of any of these. They're obviously all in some stage of development so let's get closer before we judge them as failures or successes on an individual basis.

Yes.. and the player base needs to learn its one or the other unfortunately.. they cant go back and fix the 10yrs of backlocked bugs all the time the main focus is pumping out sub standard DLC..

Yeah thats what I ment just send everyone home unpaid!.. again how about fixing what is AlREADY out?

Im mean look the last 4 DLC all various different qualities... so if they do have SOPs they clearly aint working!

And do you not think the 6th generation of the game is long enough to judge?!
DTG run the show not the 3rd parties... and DTG clearly do not have all there ducks in a row somewhere.. again just based off how TSW6 has been up till now!

I dont understand how there are some people willing to give DTG any chances to prove anything!! But good luck to you all![/QUOTE]

Stupid think keeps stopping me editing to fix the quote... thinks its "inappropriate" or spam! I just missed a space!

Whether a new route/pack is being made by DTG or any 3rd party, in the end it still is DTG's job to assure a decent level of quality upon release, as long as they release it under their name.

That's what I've been saying a couple of times already. DTG should take a back seat to building new routes and rolling stock on their own, but instead focus on fixing bugs and keep existing "content" modern and relevant for as long as possible.
Meanwhile, it should be made as easy as possible for interested 3rd parties to come in and take over the route and vehicle building. The recent influx of some very diverse 3rd parties from various countries gives me hope on that front, but the DTG's care for its own product still leaves much to be desired.

That's not an unusual occurrence. I work in the agricultural and light construction equipment industry, and "stop sales" and production freezes are not uncommon when severe enough defects are discovered. No one's being laid off or sent home without pay, production is just temporarily readjusted to remediation until the defect has been resolved.

Isn't this a question that could be answered almost immediately by someone at DTG who's in touch with UW?

Maybe you should ask this question on Discord. :D

I would rather have root canal surgery without a local anaesthetic than use Discord...

I don't think the agriculture and gaming industries can be compared in such a way. A defective game doesn't become a potential safety risk.

It is a little bit of an apples to oranges comparison, but the point is still the same. No one is saying to shut the studio down, halt all sales of currently released DLC, and send everyone home. Put a pin in shoving DLC and yearly releases out as a fast as possible, and have all hands on deck work to get the current list of bugs back down to a more manageable level. Obviously not everyone in the studio is qualified for coding and development, but almost everyone can pick up a game controller or keyboard and do some gameplay testing. Sure, they'll lose the easy influx of cash from releasing DLC during this period, but it's either pay now or pay later... The current model of release, release, release, with limited testing and post-release bug patching is going to eventually cost them more in the long run as players such as myself stop buying DLC until fixes are implemented, or jump ship altogether.

Ha Ha! I don’t know if you’ve had root canal surgery but I’ve had it twice and believe me, even with anaesthetic, it wasn’t pleasant (and that’s no disrespect to either of the dentists who were brilliant). I think a few minutes on Discord edges it…. but only just. :D

Luckily no, but my bottom front teeth are so sensitive I now need to have them numbed for a scale and polish, when the hygienist uses the ultrasonic gadget.

I had my first dentist visit since middle school a few months back after getting a slight ache in one of my wisdom teeth (all of them fit, so my old family dentist threw sealant on the four of them and called it a day). My wife, who works for the State of New York, and who's insurance I'm on, warned me that doctors and medical offices will try to put me through procedures just to milk the insurance because it's so good...

Sure enough, I get in the exam chair, and all of a sudden they're talking about surgically extracting all four of my wisdoms, drilling and filling any tooth that even has the slightest sign of a cavity... I was like, "How about we do a cleaning first?" lol
