I'm confused what you mean with the video, if it is going round a bend very quickly to the left the train would derail and fall to the side that it did

and as for brakes, new Taurus has a tiny special thing hidden - when you go into Funktionen, click softkey 1 E-Bremse Erhohung, then confirm with softkey E... havent tested this yet, but I believe this has similar effect to when you select 240 kN for E-Brake on Vectron
correct me if I am wrong, but try to follow me here... if the train goes to the left, the tilt of the rails is to the left, then the centrifugal force is going to try and push it to the right... and if the train goes to the right, and maybe the rails are also tilted right, centrifugal force is going to try and push it to the... left cos thats centrifugal force ... and if you go speeding over the limit like a madman, weeeeelll, it WILL derail the train... am I right or am I right ?
Trying to take a bit of an academic approach to this, not taking this too seriously and being a bit off topic: To me it looks like the train is tilting to the correct side, however, it seems it is flying off to the wrong side. Looking closely, though, I believe that the train is not flying off to any side, but simply rotates around its center of mass. Assuming that this statement is correct, taking a screenshot from your clip more or less "head on", you can actually try and extrapolate the CoG: Again, all speculation here (and some fun) it looks like the CoG lies just above the upper head light (there are a couple of assumptions I have made, which may all be wrong, though). This seems a bit high for a loco! But apart from that, I have not looked at other derailments in TSW and if they are showing a similar pattern. I dont think there is any reason for it to be simulated correctly, tbh.

I wouldn't read too much into. Once train leaves the tracks it switches from the TSW custom physics engine to the default UE4 one. This switch will not be seamless and will result in weird behavior. And imho DTG shouldn't realy spent time in making the derail switch authentic. As long as the initial derail condition makes sense it is OK imho.
That's no other locomotive in TSW has done that so far. And in addition to that, you can also see that the train does not fly into the curve but out what is physically wrong.

Yes, that's exactly how I learned it. When the train goes to the left into the curve, it also tilts to the left and not to the right.
This is called the inertia law heavy large object for a locomotive that drives on the left, also tilts to the left.
Okay, so, the track is tilted to the left to help plant it to the ground a bit more as it goes round the bend and be less likely to tip, however the force is still in the direction towards the right, and too much force and it will still tip, i don't like to bring it up but if you look at the spanish train crash a couple years back, look which way the train tips after travelling too quickly
dnv3 If you look at the post that raz posted, the train is going round the bend to the left, the track is tilted to the left to help offset the opposing force but the centrifugal force is pushing to the right, this is because it 'always wants to go straight'. if the force becomes too much it will derail in that direction. Hope that helps
Small update/ The following trains have been tested BR193 ( Tilts to the left at 202 KM/H and does not derail.) Br401/12 cars version (295 km/h Train is not derailed and tilts strongly to the left/303 km/h still the same BR111 (test coming soon) BR110 (test coming soon) BR146 (test coming soon) BR442 version from kassel WürzburG/(166 km/h and no derailment)
Yes, don't worry, I know/help it very well about the current test, but I say so with all the tests that I've really carried out in all this time, this hasn't happened yet, so I was a little confused and assessed this as an error (I currently also leave it inside as an error until I have completed the tests with the other vehicles/Please give me some time for that, as he still have to be tested other things and I don't have in mind now when I get it done)
also in train sim world, the train 'leaning' to the left is actually where it goes round the bend and the camera stays where it is, or reacts to the force.

many things are slightly off with the TC and Free roam, as I have learned with the neutral section functionality... in Free roam it didnt work almost at all, but in actual timetable it worked... thats cos of a bug that sometimes messes up with voltage upon spawning a train
Getting away from tilt and derailment (who drives that fast on this route anyway?)-- There are two serious problems with the secondary controls on the Semmeringbahn version of the 4024. They are not problems on the Vorarlberg/Rosenheim version, which works fine: 1) The headlight switch doesn't work. At least not the main switch. You have to use the manual override (which doesn't work for doubled trains, at least not for the taillights). 2) The keyboard mapping for the cruise control is completely missing. R, F and the Ctrl combos do absolutely nothing. This leaves you having to try to click the oversaensitive buttons on the screen (with its microscopic and illegible readout)
Well, they are tests that I find and report by vehicles/errors\ You just have to test every aspect and that's the problem. I can't just say yes, everything works and in the end nothing works at all always improves going one step higher than just standing on one level./And for the 4024 of SMR (at least on the console) everything worked)
This is more a suggestion, rather than a bug report: Would it be possible to add some AI layers to Wiener Neustadt Hbf? It looks a bit empty compared to RL. Fitting layers would be: -Maintalbahn BR 642: At Wiener Neustadt there are many diesel branch lines, where the ÖBB 5022 (the Austrian version of the 642) is mostly used. - DOSTO: Most of the REX lines to Vienna and beyond are operated by DOSTOs. Although it wouldn't be the right livery, it would give Wiener Neustadt Hbf a bit more life. Furthermore that station has the same monitors (on the platforms and at the gangway between them) like they are at Vorarlberg, which are missing on this route.
Today i had this bug ruinig 2 of my "1 hour" EC services. Basicly the Zugbeeinflussung cutted out the engine sound on Salzburg Rosenheim. Not just it went in a infinite loop, also the engine sound was silent completly. No traction noise nothing. Basicly the 1116 just accelerated without sound.... Tried two times, and 2 times the bug appeard. Very annoying. Ill have a look how DTG is gonna fix Semmering with quiet a few things, which needs definetly a fix. The 1116 doesnt have traction noise above 120kmh, because it will become total silent. Also very annoying. Same for no vectron appearing and Substituting. 2/10 until all those things are fixed.
Pzb "wachsam" definetly cuts the engine sound in some situations. The 1116 remains silent with broken sounds the entire service. (Open / close the windows doesnt help) Found my self multiple times in the middle of a service when after 30min the traction sound is gone while using the pzb "wachsam". Happend on salzburg - rosenheim, also tharandter ramp.
Hello Guys I just picked up the dlc yesterday on sale. How is your experience after a full run regards stuttering? Would you recommend the dlc with the current stat ? Or should I buy it later ?
any news on potential 1116 fixes (LZB display missing, nonprototypical LZB/AFB reset, non-functioning neutral section functionality...) ?
It is time for a summer update, so we'll get fixes for many routes. That's how it is unfortunately. They've decided to do more substantial updates
Im just giving comment because semmering was a full price purchais i made. I skip a lot of dlcs currently, and for those its not of any interest to me, if DTG or Rivet is fixing something or not.
The biggest thing still irritating me is why the windows on the 1116 have such a milky effect to it. I don't know why nobody is seeing this bug. This should be fixed! Good to see on the pictures.

This is truly a bug! No AFB will intervene while PZB curve is running down... ever! This was the single most annoying bug which prevented me from driving this loco alot. I am really happy they have fixed this.
Now they have to fix the soundproblem. Since release of semmering, whenever playing the 1116 on other routes (salzburg, vorarlberg, dresden chemnitz), at some point the traction sounds get silent and break entirely. (Usually after 20- 30 mins) No chance to get them back, so service is ruined since every acceleration and brake procedure remain silent. Very very annoying sound bug. (Also they didnt fix the cir elke?? How to drive lzb without indication on the screen?)
Thats not what i mentioned there. The pzb was okay the AFB wasnt for a half part. The afb works okay in terms of keeping the speed limit on 45 in restricted Mode. The problem what you shared is an AFB issue that brakes the train with the loco brake if you get a 1000hz restriction
What is still missing, unfortunately, is the fact that AFB will always brake with its pre defined force, even if I brake manually. IRL AFB should cut out as soon as I move any of the brake levers. 193 and 101 get this right...
I did a run on Semmeringbahn today, and sometimes I used e-brake, and when I did, it seemed that it took over, and when I released it, the AFB braking cut in again, braking with more force than when I used e-brake like 1B or 2 notch
ok so now if I understand correctly, the PZB/AFB stuff is still prototypical on Taurus, when it is in restrictive mode 45kmh, so it keeps AFB at that level until necessary but when acknowledging 1000 Hz magnet and getting under PZB supervision, THAT shouldnt set off brakes and you have to do so manually... so THIS was a bug, right?
