The issue of requiring CSX Heavy Haul to get DLC has come up a lot in the past. Interestingly this has not been a topic at all for NEC New York. Guess anyone who wants NEC already has CSX or is American enough to be fine with getting CSX as well.

But when looking at XBONE, it appears this issue has been fixed. XBONE uses GWE as the default, so DTG must have found a way to get the game itself separate from CSX Heavy Haul, and for a good reason.

So will PC ever get this treatment? Would be nice to not have people comaplining that they need CSX and don’t want it.

Hopefully, they do end up separating the base game, as being a requirement, for said future DLCs (for PC ver). Great observation. It didn't strike me, until you brought it up. We'll see how Jay replies to this thread, when he sees it on Monday. Also, you gave me a good laugh with that "... or is American enough to be fine with getting CSX HH". xd. Couldn't phrase it better myself.

I guess this means HH will never get fixed on PC after they dropped it now complete.

I think, it's too late for topic like this one. (I'm "American enough" person)
Once they start the TSW CSX HH as base game, they will continue...
Maybe it is technicaly possible, but we don't even know how the game structure is created (Route + Train Consist)
The editor release show us, how the things are, now we're in dark.
