I just bought Sherman Hill and I had a question about how I should configure the dynamic brake circuit breaker to configure the locomotive as trail, in which position do I place it cut in or cut out? Thx
Cut In means it will be participate in dynamic braking regardles it is lead or trail power, what is fine
This is different and this is up to you how much db power you like to have to your disposal. Another question in-real-life could be safety aspect, in case of other loco malfunction.
That's using the mfd. You don't need to touch the dynamic break cutin switch as that is already set up. If you play the tutorial, you press buttons on the mfd to cut in the auto brakes and set to lead. But you don't need to worry about the dynamic break switch
ok so i just have to set the control switches (fuel pump, generator field and motor control) and brakes (cut in/cut out and lead/trail) as usual without touching the dynamic brake switch lead unit fuel pump on generator field on engine check on radio on lead cut in brakes unit/s trail/s fuel pump off generator field off engine control off radio off trail cut out brakes Right?
Make sure you turn on banking comm if there are any pushers in the rear before you touch any of the controls. You won't have to set those up. But other than that, your setup of a lead and trailing loco is correct
