PlayStation Should I Wait? Buy?

I'm probably going to give SEHS a go for the next few days then pick up LBN of everything goes amazing.

 

Great routes! I´m sure you´ll enjoy them.
LBN was an undrivable slide show on PS4, but the PS5 handles it quite well.

Alrighry - given people asked for my opinions after a little bit here they are:

Been at it for a few hours, done the 4 trainings, SEHS introduction, 375 training a scenario and a service between Rochester and Faversham.

Words cannot describe how impressed I am. Having it on a bigger screen really allows you to soak in details and it looks so much nicer on a 4k TV compared to a 1080p monitor (to be expected). The only issue I came across was a weird blurr effect on another 375 but 90% sure it was just a visual bug rather then anything else.

The blurs you will see a lot. They appear frequently on SEHS

 

As already mentioned, that blur effect is already a feature, so to speak. I used to blame my aging PS4, only to find out that PS5 suffers from the same. Especially with lots of AI around, you can count on having it.

 

Yeah it's a console thing as it's also present on Xbox series

 

Ah alright - TBH its not a massive issue.

 

You have keyboard support next-gen layers here's the advantage for the PC if you have Microsoft Game Pass TSW 3 PC that transfers over to the Xbox Version which I mostly use. If directly purchased Microsoft Game Pass PC Version install directly on Xbox Series X/S to gain layers

Do I care given it relates to this thread, absolutely not.

But today my 5+ years old PC is pretty much gone I am running a last ditch effort to save it but I fear this is in vain as I slowly watch the memories fade away. The entire drivers and potentially even motherboard are toast...

My collection for PC now is better then it was when I got TSW3 on PS5 getting NTP, MML and the southeastern bundle (albeit I had this one on PS5).

If the last effort fails perhaps I will either quit TSW completely or suck it up and move to playstation 5 completely and rebuild my collection, from nothing but SEHS, BKL (and all SEHS dlcs) to something remotely comparable with my PC collection.

These things are never nice but is the way of electronics- especially while transporting them (I did notice my rig began acting up after I moved perhaps something went wrong there....)

Atleast PS5 runs TSW4 at a decent level..

There might be some decent PS store deals going on until 12/21 (probably region depending). Not sure how the TSW sales are looking. Otherwise you can try to defer as long as possible…

You might never be able to completely rebuild your collection but if you like the game enough, just owning a few routes is generally enough to keep you busy. You don’t have to be a total tsw junkie. You can just own a few of the good ones and add new stuff accordingly.

 

That is very much a valid point.

A solid 40% of my PC collection was never touched (wasn't UK related). The main routes I played where SEHS (have on PS5), BKL (have on PS5), BML (don't have on PS5 but usual on sale is good) and NTP which is the same as BML.

If I hit TSW4 during the next Sony sale if my PC does truly fail I could probably rebuild the collection I played but as you say just one or two routes cab REALLY make it enjoyable.

 

Update:

Unfortunately it happened- the pc is gone. During the windows reinstall the entire pc broke. My guess is a windows update cataclysmed with the old hardware (5 or so years old and has been semi-faulty since I moved).

Seems like PS5 might be my only choice unless I full on give up (which I won't)

Quick question though is the MML fixed for PS5 now?
