    I was running the "Extra 08" in the Peninsula MP15DC timetable and found something strange. I got the MP15DC up around 50 mph and then coasted. Get this: when coasting downhill the loco slowed down and when coasting uphill the loco speeded up!

    Did someone invert a sign somewhere in the simulator?

    That is a glitch with the gradient indicator. It will fixed with the 4.26 update.

    This is an issue with switchers and dual cab locomotives. The gradient HUD is reversed when the locomotive is going “backwards”. Quite annoying, but apparently the Rush Hour update will make it better.

    So it wasn't and inverted sign. Probably something more like this:

    gradientMultiplier == direction = FORWARD ? 1 : -1;

    It's based on "what the consist considers 'FORWARD'" you would need to put "for cab == 'a'" in there somewhere
