I know that the next update may include a trolling mode, so perhaps this buff is already being worked on. Having sonar stay visible while trolling is obviously important - but even during stationary boat fishing, the sonar should always remain on and visible. No one boats to a spot using sonar and then turns it off. One shouldn't need to go into the driving mode to pull up the sonar to see if a spot is fished out.
