What i will try and do is if its not post by a community manager, I post it here.
I really don't understand why half the time information is found via other forms of social media rather than their own, official forums? It pretty much renders the forums useless if you want the most up-to-date information. Not a day or two later.
Also possibly seeing the new HUD.
I can only guess they’ve got dedicated social media people who can’t work something as old fashioned as an internet forum. But seriously, it should be a standard workflow thing... post to forum, post to twitter, post to facebook. Three tabs open on the desktop, copy and paste, 10 minutes’ work, if that.
Sorry folks, I can only be in one place at a time. For those refusing to use other platforms to find out information, I suggest remaining patient until it percolates.
It's not that we are refusing to get other social media accounts, for me I do not trust Face Book as they have not been able to prove they can protect ones information. The one thing I would point out that if I had both Face Book and Twitter and the actual Dovetail forums I wold never be able to enjoy both TS2020 and TSW. I would be to busy trying to get through all the post in all 3 platforms.
There has to be a easy way to be able to post all three platforms without issues.
Although that said, there still is no post in the news section with the stream schedule... It's a two minute task to upload the image.
Refusing to use other platforms?
What happened to everyone must be treated equally? PC can't have something until it's available on console but official company run forum members "can remain patient until it percolates down" if they choose not to use other social media!
You could have attached the schedule image in less time than it took to post your reply!
That's a bit weird, ain't it? For what reason can you only announce it in one place only?
Perhaps it wasn't obvious - we have a separate group post the stream schedule each week, and lately there have been some late changes that has affected when or if the schedule is shown. To that end, I only post the information after it's public, as it is now.
I'll flag this as "most critical" each week from here on.
Nice to know you are taking it so "seriously".
Is there any reason why the people posting it to social media can’t post it here at the same time? Can’t they be given a member account here? Call that account DTG-something so we know it’s official.
It seems strange that the only official way of communication is the last to have anything published.
It seems that in the last year that there has been a steady decline in anything being posted on these actual forums. I am hoping that this will change and a more serious approach will be taken.
Agreed this should be the first place things get posted followed by Face Book and then Twitter
and I suppose you'd like us all to go shopping, mix the ingredients, bake a cake, slice the cake and hand feed it to you too. Even then I doubt you'd be happy and have something to complain about., like it wasn't served on a silver platter while your feet get massaged I mean seriously read back your own posts, you really don't ask for much do you
If you have privacy concerns, then here's a free pro-tip for you.... don't post those things you want to remain private in the first place
Someone's all grumpy this afternoon!
If asking for the company to put it's streaming schedule on it's own forums regularly and promptly rather than in the middle of the week is asking a lot. Then yes, I am asking a lot.
Although i agree, the forums should be in the know first, i believe social media platform like facebook/twitter may have more of a fanbase, but that doesnt excuse the face that these are official forums
Totally agree that social media will have more influence than here, however it's a five second job to post it everywhere. I imagine there's even software that will post the same message across the board...
It all has to do with how Face Book hands their end and how they have not been able to prove that they take their users security strongly enough.
Just wondering if anyone knows the Timetable from this week?
You will find the timetable on DTG's social media once it's been released.
Not heard anything yet, i'd go on the assumption that if its back to normal it'll be at 8pm tonight. Last week there wasn't one on Monday & Saturday
I'd hope to find it on their official forums too...
We've a few unknowns in the schedule this week, but the stream will be up today, Wednesday and Friday.
I think its great Matt's spending his time making the game finalized for release.
Hopefully the Q and A can be confirmed.
He's been burning the candle at both ends, so I've booted him off the stream right now so he gets some down time.
Thats great, I bet you all have been working extremely hard.
As your doing a stream on Wednesday, I think it would be a great idea for you to do steam workshop if possible unless you have something better in mind?
Seen some hype for the Q&A with people expecting it to be about the underground route, i fear that thise will be disappointed
If the Q & A does go ahead it will be the Bakerloo line as stated at the end of the Koln Q & A.
This is accurate.
yes thank you
