Hi the community A road proposal. This is the Gotthard line before the opening of the base tunnel. It is a line with nice features, with its freight routes to Arth Goldau, Erstfeld (Large depot and Freight track), Goschenen, Airolo, Biasca, Bellinzona and Chiasso (Grand Depot and Yard). As well as these many passenger trains that transit between the cities of Zurich and Milan, a mixed line what. It should start from Arth Goldau because there is a little plain before attacking the North ramp and its famous Wassen loops and church. Then the tunnel made of the Gotthard. Before descending on Biasca, passing through the double loops of Biaschina, from the plain to Bellinzona then climb Mount Ceneri to reach Chiasso The line would be about 180 km long with as characteristic point: -Erstfeld -Loop of Wassen -Goschenen with the entrance to the tunnel Swiss German coast and Switzerland Swiss coast -Loop of Biaschina -Chiasso In rolling stock, of course goods with the following locos. Re4/4: Re6/6: -BR185 et 186 As a traveler: -Regionale en Tilo -Inter Regio, Re 4/4 + towed train - ICN (Two Versions) In activity, there is something for a 24H traffic service. Travelers on an hourly basis, numerous freight activities with transit, additions to Ertsfeld machines, see shoots up to Goschenen then return to Erstfeld and again a shoot etc etc ... To finish 2 videos available on the net. The first with the route from Locarno to Arth Goldau The second, a vision of a cabin freight from Ertsfeld's Goschenen hitch machine and back Good game Freddy
It seems 180km is to long for TSW2... But why not from Arth-Goldau to Airolo through the old "Gotthard base tunnel" (about 80km...). Arth-Goldau and Erstfeld have two big Large Depot. It would be nice see old loccos like Ce 6/8 II "Krokodil" or Ae 6/6 on this route
