For train sim world 6 i propose this route as an addon because i feel this would be a fun route to drive heading out or into central London with faster and slower sections of railway that would be engaging, and with plenty of potential rolling stock for this route it could be a really good idea The Sutton and mole valley lines run from London Victoria or London Bridge, connecting South London to Surrey and West Sussex, terminating at Dorking, Horsham, or Epsom Downs. i propose the London bridge to Epsom part with the TOC being southern This route could be timetabled pre 2022 to include the now retired class 455 EMUs or could be post 2022 and just include the Electrostars which are already in the game The class 377/6 is frequently used on this route so this could also potentially be added as it would create some more diversity along the route for Electrostar fans like myself Layers such as the class 700 at Sutton and potentially the class 350 pretending to be 450 at Clapham junction and Epsom etc, and southern class 375s at London bridge Would make this route very diverse and interesting for casual simmers and players that like a challenge with 'interesting' traffic and signalling. The Electrostar variants that are already in game ( /2/3/4 and potentially the 6/7 variants) could be updated to todays standards, some of these units could be operated in multiple. I've once seen a 377/4 coupled to a /6 so this could be implemented as a scenario maybe? 2s and 4s can be used together and 6s and 7s. i think this would just add some more variety that may be small but noticeable. I personally live by this route and I use it almost every week to get into the city so being able to see this simulated would be an absolute dream. To add to this, the route would also lend itself really well to a varied driving experience in TSW, particularly because of how the line naturally changes character. The inner London section has dense stopping patterns, tight signalling, and busy junctions around places like Norwood and Sutton, while further out towards Epsom and beyond the line opens up with slightly higher speeds and more of a suburban-to-rural feel. That contrast is something TSW routes do really well, and this line has it built in already without needing anything artificial. In terms of services, this route has a really interesting mix that would translate well into gameplay. The core service pattern would be Southern stopping and semi-fast services between London Bridge (or Victoria) and Epsom, with some trains continuing beyond towards Dorking and Horsham. A particularly nice touch would be including the Dorking-bound service that runs slightly faster through the inner section — for example skipping stations like Ewell East — which adds variety and gives players a more “express-style” run compared to the all-stations services. This kind of variation, with a mix of stopping patterns and occasional faster runs, would make timetables feel much more dynamic and realistic rather than just repeating the same stopping service over and over. Above is Ewell east station where some southern services skip. From a development perspective, this route would also be very efficient to produce. A large amount of the rolling stock required, (particularly the Electrostar family) is already in Train Sim World, meaning development could focus more on route building and timetable depth rather than creating entirely new trains from scratch. The variation in stopping patterns, service lengths, and train formations would give the route excellent replayability. Players could experience short inner-suburban runs, longer semi-fast services, or more challenging peak-time timetables with heavy traffic and tight signalling. The London Bridge to Epsom section is also a manageable length for TSW, making it ideal as a high-detail route without needing excessive compromises. It offers a complete experience while still leaving room for potential extensions (such as to Dorking or Horsham) in future add-ons.# Overall, the Sutton and Mole Valley lines — particularly the London Bridge to Epsom section — would offer a highly realistic, varied, and replayable addition to Train Sim World. With strong rolling stock compatibility, busy timetables, and a mix of operational challenges, it has all the ingredients of a standout modern UK route. I really hope this route becomes a reality from a personal point of view because its been a heavy part of my childhood and id love to see it digitally replicated
