Wonderful bit of attention-to-detail, I just encountered. Nice one DTG. I'm not going to spoil it, because the route is so new and there's probably tons more to discover and I wouldn't want anyone spoiling those surprises for me either... but I will say this much: Be in Service Mode, doing the shunting, at 10:00 in the Teesside area (perhaps any service even as far as Redcar, who knows?), and keep your windows open. The real-life locals will probably already know to what I'm referring... Then Google it, to find out whether war has been declared or not (luckily, I knew already... so it just made me crack a huge smile instead of mess myself!)
I only knew about this in advance thanks to Geoff Marshall's video on Redcar British Steel and I got really excited when it was mentioned (briefly) on the devstram on Wednesday... Just tried it, thanks for the timing! That right there is attention to detail...
Not a local, but apparently yes. There's a chemical plant nearby that uses the sirens to warn of a gas leak, and they test them twice daily. Apparently they go off twice in-game also but IDK when they go off the second time.
Yes as Raildan noted they go off twice in the day the first is 10am not sure when the second time is yet.
