Someone shared a cool video on Reddit what unreal engine 5 would look "like" for train simulation.Tell me what you guys think? Perhaps another gaming developer or even Microsoft would be nice to see their techniques, tools, etc. something else to check out.. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/train-sim-world-to-unreal-engine-5.54756/ let's please keep this friendly and act like adults. The forums always have had toxicity and trolls , my advice do not respond to them, or give them any attention they are dying to seek.
It shows what could be done rather than making it like that. Of course it is only a passion project, but it shows what it could look like in ue5 when you use the new tools
This is not what a train simulator would look like in UE5. This is what that scene looks like in UE5, it just happens to be at a railway station.
Definitely Understood But must iterate In quotations For better clarification(" Future of "train simulation) So that means Sometime In the Future...No Specific Game or company..One other thing I would like to say Is that Whatever company decides to Invest or upgrade/build tools Alongside the engine,im Nothing but supportive Toward the idea. There's Pros and Cons with everything You do when it comes to Developing a game but I think many people would agree Unreal engine five will Be a Game Changer.
The guy who made this project and video took About six to seven weeks Was just a passion project. I must express Nowhere did I mention Train Sim World or train Sim classic! One day hopefully we were given the opportunity To witness Any Train simulation game Using this engine. I'm a hard-core Train enthusiast &Honestly just Love Idea of variety Amongst The possibilities Of creating Train simulation games. to the negative Nancy, that have nothing better to say a little bit of advice would be to probably best to say nothing at all! Another message to all of the know it all's and truly miserable people on the forums names not to be mentioned, do yourself a little homework before participating with an uneducated analysis. Look up Quixil on YouTube and maybe do some searching on Google SMH and my apologies to anyone else feeling uncomfortable because you may be thought this was a cool idea and got torn down by individuals who know nothing about game development etc.
It looks pretty good as a Pre-Rendered Game Scene. But, does it handle well in live gameplay Is what should be important. While I've been blown out the water by the Matrix UE5 Technological Demonstrator. I'll be honest, if it's not practical, I don't really want it. You could make a game look beautiful, but if it runs on 5 Frames per Second, people aren't going to play it. In the future though, who knows? Likely, eventually we will.
Very impressive and I can see DTG trying it out on future TSW games starting with the Arlberg Bahn Bludenz Innsbruck Hbf or SFS Salzburg Linz Wien Hbf Passengers but freight Salzburg Gnigl to Wien Kledering Westbahn.
Hi, I created this sim. Finally found this forum post, Id noticed that a lot of views had been coming from this site to my UE5 Video. I created this sim in UE5, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. The demo was created to show in particular nanite and lumen in action, it enables huge amounts of geometry to be rendered in real time, it is pretty dam efficient. I am currently working on a new one, but with much more detail then what was shown on this video, and a much much bigger area. Its for a major UK rail project. The video by the way was not pre-baked!!!!
