Clear leaves? Why bother? I just leave them on the ground in both front and back yards through the winter. It's good for the soil and, by the time Spring rolls around, they're pretty much gone. I do clear them from the storm drains of course.
The 22nd is the Winter Solstice where the game pivots from full Autumn to full Winter. It kinda makes sense but it would be a nice touch to have the bit in-between. Remember the falling leaves on Ruhr Sieg Nord? A one time thing never to be seen again. Wouldn’t it be cool to see leaves falling in Autumn, particularly on stretches of track that are susceptible to leaf related wheel-slip? All things the game already has, it just needs the will and planning to implement it. To me that’s immersion. That’s the difference between a meh game and an immersive sim.
Exactly. There are so many gameplay avenues this game could go down, but it needs the will from DTG. It’s no good saying ‘it’s a niche market so blah blah blah’. Make it a game people want to play, relentless copy and paste services that never change are only ever going to be for the really committed. These newer scenarios are very much the wrong thing. My one criticism of Niddertalbahn is that nonsense UFO scenario. Same with that stupid film set rubbish on Voralberg or the lost bike nonsense on Maintalbahn. Trains and railways are interesting…use the raw materials you’re given!
Absolutely - or even to see the leaves fall in November as they do in real life - - which was my original point in this thread. Edit (appropriate to the latitude N where the trains are
